Always loved the Harrier demo. For a 14 year old kid (a long time ago), the first time I ever saw it come to a stop in mid air was an awe inspiring moment!
Gonna miss seeing the harriers around.
I remember these birds saving our butts so many times. One of the best close support jets next to A-10
Its got such a unique sound at idle on ground
Yeah I love it
It's very recognisable

I had some long days and nights working on this bird. Loved every minute of it. Worked on both A's and B's, VMA 547 🐯 AND 231♠️
I was at the show, I felt old. I worked on the A model '79-'82. I'm glad I got to see and hear a Harrier one last time.
Really miss these aircraft in the UK....a fantastic, versatile fighter.❤️
Such an impressive old girl and one of my favourite jets when I was a child in the 80’s.
I was there on Saturday. Was an awesome show and especially cool seeing the Harriers for the last time. Every performer did an amazing job showcasing their aircrafts. As always the Blues never disappoint either!! Fly Navy!!
A magnificent aircraft! 1LT , USAF KC-135A Pilot
Time moves on but I will miss that little Devil Dog jet. I have a video on my channel from a few years ago showing an AV-8B hovering close to where I was standing.
Watching this is so Cool.
Love the old Harrier, It still can pack a Punch or Two.
The F35 is a Great Machine as well.
This is a Really Great Video.
Well Done.
Regards
That's a fantastic Jet 👍👍
Superb !!!
Seeing them while stationed at Kadena and watching a demo was nothing short of amazing. The pilot (1980) rung that Harrier through its paces!
An amazing aircraft and a great demo.
I really wish we were still flying ours in the UK.
I was there at this airshow. The last time I saw the Harriet was 32 years ago before I met my wife.
The distinctive sounds of that engine made an impression on her.
I remember seeing the harrier in 2019, awesome to see that jet fly, gonna miss the demos but glas we will see it fly for a little longer
Awesome final demo. The wiggle at 2:14 showed how hard the pilot was pushing the AoA limtis in the turn.
Having been a kid in the 70s and 80s we live in South East England, near France, the jets would do sorties over the Channel
Amazing feat of ingenuity
Great plane! Sad to see it go!
Been working the platform for 24 years, sure I’m going to miss seeing it flying around Cherry Point once it is fully decommissioned
Still awesome!
I sure would love for this plane to fly for a long time including demos. There honestly isn't a reason, it's proven that aircraft from quite a while ago, can still be flown & used for a long time.
VMA-223 will continue to fly the AV-8B until mid 2029.
Nope transitioning in early 2025
@@kyler2744 HQMC aviation plan needs to be updated then and LM needs get the long delayed TR3 update delivered in order for that to happen.
@@AA-xo9uw the FD2030 AVP has been heavily skewed even in the most recent version. It’s not good to go by that plan. The most recent crash could delay it, but as per VMA-231 they will begin transition early next year and VMA-223 will follow in the following summer in 2026
@@kyler2744 Previously you stated "early 2025" now your stating "summer 2026". Which is it?
It was awesome in its debut in Falkland island conflict .
There's going to be no more Harrier demonstrations at airshows ?
No, they’re going to be completely phased out in the next two or three years and replaced with the F-35B
i doubt it because once these planes are retired they wont keep up with the maintenance for air worthiness anymore
👏👏👏👏👏🇧🇷
Sold to the Brazilian Navy
To think, the early design goes back to about 1965.
Si cette chose peut voler... Je le peux !
Spent many hours refueling those leaky high pitched machines back in my Marine Corps days.
Retired too early by RAF
Don't know why we're retiring such great planes. A10 and Harrier still pack a punch and have alot of good years in them, guess the Pentagon just wants new toys... 😒🇺🇸
The Harrier is 40 years old, and even with modern upgrades, they become harder to maintain. It’s time for a change. And it’s not just the Pentagon, because Italy is also replacing their Harriers with F-35Bs.
Few fighter had as long a life.
Saw this plane Why do I only think of the movie True Lies? Who is like me? Please give it a like.
After many disasters it finally worker out
Right on! How much do you worker out? - thanks for your incredibly useful comment! 👎 Fail….
😢
Saying goodbye to another beautiful plane... Really sad :(
Last Demo for the Harrier final season for the A-10 . It's getting real depressing. Pretty soon the only thing our armed forces will fly will be crop dusters.
F-35s aren't crop dusters
@@AirshowStuffVideos For sure. In fairness, the F-35 is a jack of all trades but master of none. It cannot match the effectiveness of a purpose-designed tool like the A-10 or AV-8B.
@@markthibault8579 The Su-25 is also a purpose designed tool and look how well they’ve faired over Ukraine. High losses on both sides. The F-35 is multirole so if you want it loaded for a single purpose, then it can do that while also remaining harder to detect.
Still, a Lot of pilots died flying it.
so sad to see these Harriers retire, I never cared for these new F35s ugly and expensive stealth for waste
