    I really want to get this volcano subtheme of the city theme. My appreciation has grown so much that it has nearly become my top priority to get these sets. Love the little story toward the end of the video. I think you should do more of that Jang with other sets. The playing shows what the set was built to do, and it is a great addition to the reviewing segment.

    Hey Jang, I absolutely loved the little video segment at the end demonstrating all of the action features. It fits your videos well, I would like to see you do more of that with future reviews. Keep up the great videos!

  • @BeasBotBonanza
    @BeasBotBonanza Před 8 lety

    I think that that helicopter is perfect! Simply because of how brick built it is, it is SOOOOOOO nice to see lego give us a large vehicle set that doesn't rely on the same 2 or 3 'generic cockpit' parts. I think that the price for this is actually pretty fair, especially when you consider how brick built everything is.

  • @jamesoverbuild9496
    @jamesoverbuild9496 Před 8 lety

    The skin color of the vehicles, the overall thematic, the crystal hunting, everything remembers me a lot of Power Miners, i really want Lego to make a new Undergrown mining Theme, not linked to City, so it can be designed a a lot freely and more action and sci-fi oriented!
    Edit: Also that Playing recorded thing at the end was amazing, when i was writing the above text i was wondering why the music was being played for so long, then scrolled back up and watched and rewatched the whole thing, that was incredibly funny!

    This set puts the largest sets in the City: Arctic line to shame. The helicopter is fantastic! That was quite surprising to see the drop off function, I was totally not expecting that. I adore the way they designed the canopy access, it adds a little bit of "fun" by simply removing pieces. Also, a bed in a LEGO helicopter? I'm very impressed! I have to completely disagree with JANG on the volcano assembly. I think it is what it is and is done very well for my liking. Excellent set!

    @vinesauceobscurities Před 8 lety +8

    I never understood how Lego needed to use bright disjointed colors for hidden and internal bricks for so many modern sets. I even see this in really small ones like single cars. This didn't used to be an issue in earlier sets from the 1980s and 1990s, even complicated Basic, Technic and Model Team sets. It's almost like Lego execs think kids these days are too dumb and need bright colors to guide assembly.

    • @wholock0001
      @wholock0001 Před 8 lety

      I agree. I could see the use of bright colors as interior pieces to make it more visible in the instructions IF they aren't exposed. But when it is exposed in any angle, I really don't see the purpose...

    • @vinesauceobscurities
      @vinesauceobscurities Před 8 lety

      WhoLock I'm also starting to speculate that Lego's need to use multicolored parts might be part of cost-cutting measures as their sets gradually include more pieces. Lego may want to maximize the use of all their colored plastics, so they'll include bright pieces into any set whenever they see fit. It also makes interchanging of hidden parts easier in theory if any of these pieces are lost and the replacement piece is in a different color, as nobody should be able to tell the difference.
      It looks like Lego is trying to hit a few birds with one stone doing this.

    • @JANGBRiCKS
      @JANGBRiCKS  Před 8 lety +1

      Nah LEGO has very strict control of production these days with nearly every aspect robotic and computer-controlled with incredible precision. They know how much of every part they need to make in each color and they work tirelessly to minimize surplus. They've explained outright in the past that different colors are used these days specifically to facilitate easier part identification by novice builders. Most peoples' eyes cue off color before shape, thus making all axle-pins with friction blue enables people to pick them out of a pile of black pins with far greater speed and accuracy than if they were all colored the same. LEGO doesn't think kids are dumber, LEGO is simply being smarter, using science and proven methods to make things more enjoyable for the majority of their customer base.
