I just realized that in Divergent when Tris sees Four walk away as she fights Peter, that kinda foreshadowed when she went to stop David in Allegiant and Four wasn't there. :(

Actually, they didn't! The whole Allegiant book was going to be done in two parts in the movies, but the first part did horrible compared to Insurgent and Divergent, so they cancelled the second part.
