ABOUT TDR EXPLORER

Hi, 👋🏽 My name is Chris, aka TDRExplorer, and I started sharing my theme park adventures. Over the years, TDRExplorer has become a resource for passionate theme park fans looking to make the best of their trips to Asia. Including Tokyo Disneyland and Universal Studios Japan!
Use my code EXPLORER15 to get $15 off your first Bokksu Japanese snack box! partner.bokksu.com/explorer15
Ok! Got one box for my Japan/anime-crazed nieces for Christmas. The younger one can afford to try a few new flavors, I expect this will help. I mean, she loves her seaweed, sushi, etc, and of course she loves sweets ;) I suspect even if they don’t enjoy all the things it’ll be a hit.
Overseas credit card (Visa) worked for me! Was there 2 days ago.
Thank you for the information! Also thank you for watching
praline is butter and sugar usually with pecans cooked until a toffee consistency. A New Orleans thing.
Thank you!
I am so jealous of the purchase with purchase items, they are so cute! I wish the US parks did a better job with merchandise! The desserts look great too!
The souvenir cups are always so cute!
I love your videos so much. You make me miss Tokyo Disney so much! Thank you for all the Disney tips and you may not see this, but I have been meaning to thank you and the other Explorers for the information for Studio Ghibli Museum. I got my tickets through Lawson and had a great time! Even my mum who has no interest in Anime enjoyed it.
Also side note I was able to buy Beauty and the Beast ride tickets with my travel card from Australia.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a lovely comment! I'm happy you could get to the Ghibli Museum. It's such an excellent little spot.
Okay new here, I was fascinated with the paper trick for the plate. The way you just opened that up was like magic lol, I was like woahhh 😮
10:34 Omurice (omelet rice) is delicious and that one looks super delicious since seafood is my favorite food. I also love chocolate. I think we have different food preferences because I love seafood and super sweet food lol
It sounds like we do, haha~! Thank you for watching
I wish I could go at christmas time! the food always looks so good and I love your suggestions!
I hope you can visit sometime!
Thanks so much as always, Chris! My favourite Saturday morning past-time is now hopping on and doing some Japlanning with the help of these videos. So. Excited. For. Disney. Christmas! PS the hot dog has been on my list since I first saw a pic on the website. Looks like a heart attack on a plate and I cant wait 😂 Good to know it’s a tasty as it looks regardless of how un-Instaworthy it may be!
I love the bag!!! Christmas merch with Goofy makes me so happy. And followed up with a mousse! 😂❤ the cup gives me nostalgia Best mousse of the year
I didn't think I'd like the mousse, but here we are. hahah Thank you for always watching!
Thanks for sharing the TDL Christmas food and merch! Btw, the camera work/editing at 5:11 was chef's kiss !
Oh thank you!
Overseas credit card worked for me!
So hope to revisit Tokyo Disney love to see what’s new
Thank you for watching!
I was at the two parks last week Wednesday and Thursday and it was packed. Watching this makes me want to go back already.
I hope you can come back and visit sometime
I love the lunch bag, I’d use it as a knitting bag. I’m just back from Belgium and they invented the praline, and the definition is a chocolate that is filled , doesn’t matter with what as long as it has a filling it’s classed as a praline. I will admit to sampling a fair few.
That’s a good use for the bag!
Coffee & chocolate mousse 😍🤤 ooo
Usually I'm just "eh" on the souvenir plates and stuff but that lunch bag was super cute!
I like that the design of the bag itself was a bit different this time around!
It was amazing meeting you at Disneyland….highlight of our trip 😊
Thank you for saying hello!
Thank you for the in depth and detailed videos. I’ve used your videos as part of my plans for visiting Tokyo Disney. I feel way more confident in coming out to Japan thanks to you. I hope you have a great day
You are so welcome!
日本旅行の計画日本人として嬉しいです。ディズニー含め日本を楽しんでください。
@@kanamiii1447Thank you so much for those very kind words. 🙏
Hi there , I’ll be going to Tokyo Disneyland and Disney sea on December 21st totally can’t wait to go after watching your vid can you do Tokyo Disney sea merch and food next especially the Duffy and friends merch😊
Have fun! I have a merchandise video out already on the channel, the merch is the same between the two parks this year (except Duffy).
I love your blogs.
Thank you for watching
Mark Twain whistles but no toot toot from the train. Happy holidays to you.
18:46 ooo 😍
I had that warm apple drink when I was there and loved it! Thanks for suffering through that sandwich so we don’t have to. :)
21:23 excellent transition lol
So just between us, the little pop up captions, a nod to Trixie and Katya? Love it!
_bird noises_ yes!
Yeah, it’s been alarmingly warm in the states as well.
23:39 LMAO 😭😭😭😭
Hi Chris! Love your blogs and love to go over to Japan and do Disneylands there. Just realised that the chocolate “mistletoe” on your Mickey waffle is actually Holly and not Mistletoe. Holly has red berries and Mistletoe has white
Thank you for watching!
“It’s dense but light” kinda like me I guess 😜 nice and moist. 14:19
Omg hahhahaha
You’re an outstanding CZcams channel.
Thank you, Luke
Np 😉 😉 @@tdrexplorer
Helloooo! Love your videos! I'm from Brazil and I probably won't be going to Disney any time soon, but I was wondering if there is any vegan/vegetarian options on the menus? Especially those seasonal ones! XOXO!!!
From some research I’ve done, vegetarian is pretty easy to find but vegan is really hard INSIDE the park.
Praline is usually sweet here in the US, so I don't get the bitter taste. All the food looks good.
Good to know!
I love praline - I find it's not usually bitter, more smooth and (sweet) truffle-like. However that's UK versions of praline which may be different!
Thank you for the info!
Pralines are definitely supposed to be sweet. Here in the U.S. they are basically just smooth cooked sugar and nut discs or shapes.@@tdrexplorer
I know this isn’t relevant to the food but do you know if it’s possible to book two hotel stays at the same time. Like if I booked a couple nights at Toy Story and at the same time my wife booked a couple nights at miracosta. Would we run into issues? I know there’s something about not being able to book another stay for two days or something.
Praline here where I'm from is basically a sugared nut flavor..it has a bitter/sugary flavor
Thank you for the info! I had no idea what to expect with praline since I’ve never had it haha
We were there late August and it worked with a capital one card.
Thank you for the information!
Pls post the video again. Nice work Chris
Thank you for watching
But who is Sarah a grandma to? Also, I love that your Comic Ray's is called Plasma Ray's. 😂
Payed with an international MasterCard credit card and it worked! Not with the visa debit card though
Does Disney seas or Tokyo help pack and mail things you brought back to your home country? Disney world has mailing services
Last I checked the parks don’t but the Disney hotels may. You’d have to check with them directly. Ever since 2020 shipping overseas became more difficult.
The “cottage cheese” looked like Boursin?
On what date in November does Christmas products begin to be seen at Disney?
Did you smuggle some of that good Canadian maple syrup for your waffle?
I didn't have to, they give you some! Not sure if it's from Canada or not though.
You know that stuff is NOT maple syrup
Chris make sure you have a battery pack on stand by for your phone , having your phone died on you at a themes parks
Oh yes, I always carry one with me!
Chris. How do you walk round after eating all that food. Do you share it with someone or try things on different days. I wouldn’t be able to do anything if I had all that food in one day ❤️💙❤️🎄🎄💙❤️💙🇬🇧🇬🇧
I only get what I’m able to eat and I share with my cameraman. Thank you for watching!
13:53
Chris is there a non shellfish set , because when I was little I found out that I have a bad reaction to shellfish my throat started to red my inside of throat started to swell up ,found out the hard way that I have shellfish.
There are other meals that don’t have shellfish! I only was trying the Christmas food 🥘 Thank you for watching 🥰
ur wrooong, praline is not bitterr
9:58
Is the courtyard or Main Street area enclosed or just covered? I've noticed it in several videos and was curious about it.
It’s covered and goes by the name World Bazaar!
"It is not a food video without a souvenir"
But what about Christmas popcorn bucket, Chris? Disney JPN doesn't have it this year?
Pssst... I love your Mickey Waffle t-shirt
There wasn’t a popcorn bucket this year. Don’t worry, if there was one I’d make sure to show it!
💜💜💜😍
Hi Chris, would I ask you some Qs? Why can't I buy the express passes in the last week of JAN 2024?
It hasn't been available to be sold online yet but the information now are "no stock", are they possibly sold out by backdoor or large VIP groups?
They may be sold out, sadly.
Hi i would like to ask since you said Christmas event is until dec 25 what happens in like dec 26-31?
The new years decorations go up usually. That’s about it.
thank you for d reply :-D
Hi
Hello!
Thanks
I think the cheese in your sandwich was probably ricotta cheese.
International cards that are VISA only works. I’ve tried multiple MasterCard ones and they don’t work.
*went to TDR last week for reference
For people's reference, what country was your card from?
@@tdrexplorer I tried MasterCard cards from the Philippines and Chase Mastercard from the U.S., they don’t work.
I used my US-issued Chase Mastercard with no issues. Having said that, it was already tied to my Disney account. I wasn’t trying to add a new card to pay. Maybe that makes a difference? One would think they would do everything they can to make sure they take your money! 😁
I just used my existing Disney account for everything. It's linked to a US Visa and I had no problems. 😸
Awesome!
‘Beshlemel’
I did not enjoy TDR at all.. I went last week on wednesday and it was SO CROWDED . Even the food queue was so long..
