You have convinced me that the KTM 690 is THE best all around bike on the planet! Crossing the Simson, long distance road trips, riding hard on single tracks, dirt bike extraordinaire and now this track day moto performance! It seems to justify the $11k price tag.
How easy is it to swap from the off road wheels to Sumo wheels? Do you have to faf around with the calipars or is it a straight swap? Good vid, the KTM did great on track!
Hey Buddy, love your channel. Your GSA adventures, ktm adventures, all your bike videos are extremely entertaining. May I ask what you did to convert your R to a supermoto? Obviously rims and tires, but did you change the forks? What parts did you use?
You can swap a 06-07 zx10 rear shock and do fork springs and have a well set up bike for real cheap. Did those on my 03 sv650n and it made a huge difference. Had a blast at the last few track days I've done on it!
+TheSaneRider Mine is a 1999 model so I dont know if the 06-07 zx10 shock would work. I am probably going to swap the front end from a Gixxer 600SRAD onto the bike at some point. Thanks for the info on the ZX rear shock. I didnt know they (might) fit!

You need to get on the throttle way earlier and smoother. Now your ripping it in the end of the corner and still keep traction, ;) I always enjoy your videos! :)
I want a track near my area... We have people who have $20M to build a race track in the shoalhaven it will be the 5th main track of Australia we want to build it out near the navy airforce base get this near an airforce base but the FEW people in the area are bitching and crying trying to stop the track from being built they say they don't want the sound YET they live near an airforce base and the track they want to build will be next the a dirt track for dirt bikes so it is not like they don't already have sound from dirt bikes and jets dose kind of bug me you cant record on a track day unless its a private day not even sure whats the difference

So they wanted to build another nearby that had a lot bigger room, but 10 people out of a few thousand said no so had to pull all the plans. i dont get how less tooth in gearing give more top speed....shouldnt they give more punch and less top speed, i say this because i work on rc cars, and thats how it works in them
Prince Fancybum Of course you can, but an insurance payout still costs alot. And you will miss most of the rest of the day on a supersports if damage is bad. On a supermoto it's easier to work on so you might get back on track quicker.

+luuk341 if you haven't already check out the Svrider forum. There is a ton of info about suspension on there. The stock Sv suspension is horrible!
