I hope if they released the new generation of iPad mini they will keep the design. The design and display are perfect but only expanding the touch screen display size. I would say a 8.8 or 9 inch with the current iPad mini 6 design are perfect. Minimum bezels, wide display, the OLED panel, faster processor and more storage capacity
So far the closest and most realistic scenario is 128GB of storage
@@DigitalMarkings 128GB nowadays feels like 16GB 10 years ago. 256GB should be minimum now. We don't know if the iOS would consume more data storage for their devices in the future. Even iOS 16 consume almost 10GB of storage plus many apps now has over 100MB pre-install

Now that's the tough one. If you are fine with smaller display simply go with mini. This choice wouldn't be good for me cause I like bigger display so I would probably push as much as I can to go reach iPad Air price range. Don't get me wrong, iPad 10 is excellent and I would suggest anyone who wants modern looking, fast and reliable Apple tablet even with laminated display. If you don''t mind lack of lamination you can go for it. It has good stereo speakers, excellent A14 chip, perfectly position front facing shooter and its new.

Thinking about upgrading from ipad mini 2, recently factory reset mine to use as a cookbook and suddenly remembered how much more comfortable it was to use than my iphone is. Not in any huge hurry though, will probably wait for the Mini 7 since I’m already waiting for the iPhone 15 before I upgrade from my XR
Looking forward to all the upgrades I’ve yet to get, I have NO idea what’s different between the mini 2 and the 6.
Hey Sparky, I am curious to see how you are dealing with your iPad Mini 2 :). I had the original one and it become rather useless few years ago. Newest edition of the mini, beside modern deisn, brings much more power to the table, better display, stereo speakers, support for Apple Pencil gen 2
@@DigitalMarkings it’s still able to run the built-in apps pretty well, as well as CZcams. That’s all I use it for, it struggles with Safari so I don’t trust it to do well at all with anything that’s actually demanding.
I still use daily my ipad mini2. It works great. The only problem it’s that has only 16 gb of rom.

It’s possible there will be no iPad Mini at all this year. It’s likely that gen 7 will be a minimal update with chip upgrade and couple of internals but nothing mind blowing

Touch id instead of face id is actually a exceptionally good news for me. I wish this also applied to future iphones and with that have punch hole instead of "dynamic islands" notches and other dated tech sold thanks to good marketing.

He’s right about Apple not charging much to the iPad mini 7 ,hell it took them 10+ years to upgrade & update to the mini 6 lol so I highly doubt they would do a major update to the mini 7 .

@@DigitalMarkings Agreed. Even if they did offer it in the mini (and the Air) I bet Apple would charge a premium price for it. Their goal is to get people to buy their iPads AND their Laptops (or desktops) and of course, their phones. If they put full-blown MACos in iPads, that would undermine their Laptop sales so they keep iOs for iPad simple and the power of the M1 and M2 are wasted. Overkill.

I have the iPad mini 6. I use it along side my iPhone. Disappointed with the harddrive size. Expected at least a 512 had but still very versatile and very useful in my opinion.

I take the city bus around the city and to get to work, my iPad Pro 11 inch is too big for traveling and using in public spaces like the bus. So the iPad mini is a great thing for me, but the refresh rate being 60 looks laggy to me as I have the 14 pro and iPad Pro m1 just is simply so fluid. for 500 bucks for 64 gb it should at least have 120 hertz

@@woofiooxx it is laggy asf 🤣 going from a fluid promotion from months at a time to an iPad mini. the shit is laggy as hell. yes we didn't complain back then because we haven't used it and were use to the 60 hertz. you probably dont even own anything with 120 hertz because if you did you would celery see the difference. 120 versus 60 on a iPhone isn't that big of a difference but on larger displays its a huge difference.

Sadly… but according to some recent rumors, non-Pro iPhones should get ProMotion in around two years from now. May sound promising for non-Pro oPads too 🤷🏻♂️🥲

I'm so happy that there won't be any major upgrades in the mini, I've been planning to get the 6th gen ever since its release. I'm saving up for it and it'll probably take like about 1 year and I was hoping that the price won't raise drastically. But I just hope that they don't do the camera shift in the mini too cause I really want to use the 2nd gen pencil with it. Btw my first ever ipad was the iPad 9 so the iPad Mini 7 will be a huge upgrade especially since I love small things! Thx for the video.

Was exited about the new design and was planning in buying one till it released, bezels still a bit too big for my liking
The bezels are actually perfect for holding it without accidentally touching the screen. Especially when you can actually hold this iPad comfortably in one hand.
So far the thinner bezels upgrade is expected with the new iPad Pro lineup. Personally, i don't touch bezels at all while holding an iPad. if you ask me, they can make them much smaller

I’d really like to buy a Mini, because its size is perfect for my lifestyle.
However i’m literally stuck at this moment. I’d go in a shop and buy one, but the tiny odd that I can see a new mini coming in March blocks me. I want to buy the most updated product (even if the new features won’t be much) and I don’t wanna see 6th price dropping a Second after my purchase.
So what you suggest? Better wait until march to be sure that Apple won’t pop out the 7th?
You can wait for March it’s one more month and a half. If you want, although likely new mini is not happening
If they add 128gb variant in the mini, it would probably be much more expensive than the 256gb if you know what i mean.

I have a iPad mini 6 and the jelly screen effect does not bother me that much. Because my ipad is horizontal most of the time. And of the iPad mini 7 is not a huge upgrade i’ll skip the iPad mini 7.

No 120 hz display; no buy. It wasn’t noticeable before on my other devices but now that some of have the higher refresh rates, I can’t go with out it lol. I wanted the mini for airplane or long trips. I’ll look else where, I really didn’t want to go to Windows surface but they are just as comparable in price and capability and have the 120 hz refresh rate.

@@DigitalMarkings because I got the 12.9 pro. Not exactly happy with it. It’s not comfortable to lug around the house. At the time I got it, the 11” didn’t have the 120hz rate so I got the 12.9 pro.
With the sales, honestly, I’ll prob settle for the mini or Air if they get the higher refresh rate but I guess we’ll all see if it even happens lol

One reason I will wait for the 7 is that it will likely have software support further into the future as the 6 would have. I'm in no rush.
The large variety of productivity uses for the Mini demonstrates how versatile it can be. A Master of Non - But Good at a lot of stuff - Find by me!!!
I bought an iPad Mini Cellular 9 years ago. I do not browse with it - I'm an adult -so I use my 14" laptop to browse and an Apple TV for viewing.
After 9 years of ownership - I use my Mini almost exclusively when I "TRAVEL" - to do the following (otherwise it sits in a drawer)
#1- as a GPS unit in my vehicles - the best GPS ever (70%) That's after over 150K miles of road trips - when I need a GPS for town use - my iPhone works fine.
#2 - as a Sidecar or mirror screen to view video paired with a M2 MBA (25%)
#3 - as an eReader (4%)
#4 - the odd miscellaneous task (1%) This might change with the pencil.
I will likely buy the new Mini 7 when it comes out @ the end of the year. The Mini is simply a great portable complimentary device that sits between an iPhone & Laptop (my MBA M2 being my favourite Apple product)

technically it’s no new prediction since it’s been mentioned many times for the last two year, but it’s good to see enthusiasm about it 😅
My hope for the iPad 7 will be:
1. Bigger Battery
2. Wireless charging + Reverse Charging
3. Face ID
4. Pro Motion
5. Earphone (to use the iPad mini as a phone)
6. A second camera
What we will get:
1. M2 processor
2. Dynamic Island
3. The Hover pencil (found on the iPad Pro).
4. New colors such as poop brown, and poop mustard.
5. Wifi-6e
6. Bluetooth 5.3

When Apple don’t give Stage Manager in ipad Mini 6 and Ipad 10 , Apple must go in to the forest . If on IPad mini 7 don’t give stage manager this product become not interesting and don’t give normal screen without problem , for that price is looking like bad joke and sex with money with no pleasure . Ipad MiNi series is the most cool product , but let Apple give storage 128 gb, lte with number call for this variant , and 3,5 Jack bring back and iPad become really amazing and super for all
