- We leave Blair Drummond Caravan Site and park at the Falkirk Football Stadium. We go sightseeing in Falkirk and walk through The Helix before visiting The Kelpies. We then drive a further 6 miles to the Falkirk Wheel.

Kelpies park looks nice for a stroll, the horses heads are stunning. The Falkirk wheel is a great bit of engineering on a huge scale. Thanks for taking us around 🙂

Glad you had a nice quiet day for it Trev. Nice to see the Kelpies close up and from a different angle from the M9 and i usually see them in the dark. But they change the colours of them daily. Definitely going to take the family there now 👍🏴. We have done the Falkirk wheel 👍a great bit off engineering . Must get a trip on it one day that would be different .

Been past the Kelpies on the road but never stopped to see them. Been to the Wheel a few times, even went up it once.. fun.. glad the sun came out for you at last. :-) Sorry still playing catch up.. x

It was a beautiful day and Sue really wanted to go to see the Kelpies. The parks were amazing and on a Thursday there was very few people around 🙂 Trev
The same sculptor has an angel on the M80 at Cumbernauld and a horse on M8 at Bailleston
And soon to have a huge bear on A1 at Dunbar

The Kelpies are amazing, aren’t they? We were there last year and thought they were magnificent! We didn’t get to see however the Falkirk Wheel, so it’s nice to see your filming of it! Will definitely see it the next time we’re up there! Thanks for sharing😎👍

Another great video, and perfect sightseeing weather at last! We stopped in the exact same place to see the Wheel, but all car parks were full at the Kelpies, so that's still on our to-do list. We were also there late September and the weekend weather was unusually fabulous 😎🍦😎... so most of Falkirk seemed to be out in the park that day - it was absolutely heaving! Really enjoyed, and would definitely recommend, a visit to the wheel. 😊

We loved the Kelpies when we visited & on another trip we visited the Falkirk lift but it was so crowded we didn't stop for long.

Hi Trev And Sue, great video, wow the Kelpies are really life like. Nice that they are by the canal so you can view the narrow boats as well. The Falkirk wheel is an amazing structure , only ever seen it in action on the tv. Thank you for filming it. Did you go on a boat trip? julie yes we had coffee and Scottish Shortbread next to the canal and the Kelpies but I don’t always film us eating or you may think that’s all we do 😂😂😂 watch out for another Kelpies visit in December after dark 👍🏻 Trev

What's the story behind the Kelpies?
The horses represent the working heavy horses used on the canals in Scotland in the late 18th and early 19th century. The enormous sculptures are a symbol of the drive to regenerate the industrial areas attracting visitors from all over the world. That’s what I remember from the visitor centre I think 😊 Trev
