Model realistic miniature trees easy & low cost

- It´s difficult to model a really realistic trunk. Why not let mother nature do the job? In this tutorial we´re combining a twig from the garden with other low cost materials to create a really nice looking miniature tree.
This type of tree is reasonable easy and quick to make and suitable for both model railroad, diorama and miniature terrain rpg style. I build lots of these for my Märklin h0-scale layout. The combination of low cost and quick process is perfect. The combination of polyfiber and leaves can be replaced with readymade foliage to simplify process even further.

This was a very informative " How to". I will have to try this for my n scale layout.
Una técnica maravillosa...!!! quedé sorprendido en cada paso. Yo no hablo inglés, pero con tan sólo ver el desarrollo de su trabajo pude entender la idea de cómo realizar cada detalle.

Amazing work i would love to pick your brain about trees
beautiful tree! easy to follow instructions. Some ideas on cleaning and maintenance of scenery are of interest to me.
Hi! Thank you! Cleaning? Do you have a dust problem, or what kind of maintenace are you thinking about?
@@marklinofsweden Dusting miniatures and landscapes is exactly what I am wondering about :)
I like the comment realatively easy method. Well if I was an artist like you it might be. Your project all end well!
Thank you! Hey! Try it! I bet your tree will be great looking. If not.. Make another.. Eventially they will look awesome and anyway one needs many trees, so you must start sometime. The less pretty ones will make a great background scenery 👍😊

WoW, im doing some doll House work. Was looking for flower tutorials, but find yours amazing Birch video. Oh boy what a beautifull tree. I Will try and make one which has been growing next to my House for generations. With your help it Will be nearly as beautifull as yours. Inger, Billund, denmark
Some great ideas. Don’t like the poly fibre though, might try this with Teloxys. And copper wire might be easier to form to fit the scene than steel wire. Certainly plenty of things to try out, many thanks!
Hans Gomoll is right. The "Tapatenkleister" Idea looks good. I didn´t know, PVA-glue works on Steel wire. I´ll try that. The Idea with the Sand and the blended leaves is good. I have an enormous walnut-tree, the leaves are big and easy to hang up to dry, like in former times the tobacco-leaves. Ill try that.
Very nice Martin. The trick is finding bushes and young trees that have that textured bark when young. I’ve got lots with smooth bark but not so much with rough bark. I’m certainly going to look much more closely (and.bring a pair of nippers) when I walk in the woods next.
The use of the wood in the demo, was it green wood or did you let it dry out for months before drilling and gluing? That may affect the drilling and gluing as wood will shrink as it dries out from green if one immediately builds a tree from very fresh wood.
Wow!!!
Mi sono innamorata di questo video! 🥰 Complimenti 🎉 veramente bello 😊❤
nice
Wonderful tutorial, Martin. Have you ever reground the dried coffee grounds? I like to grind them again after they dry. It makes them more to scale and still gives a nice texture!
Hi John! Thank you for interesting feedback! I’ll have to try that!
Great video. I witnessed a 45yr old man drill a 1/4 in hole in his hand, yikes. We made a trip to the hospital. 😮
Interesting An excellent video, Keep up the good work :)
