- One of the most surprising tidbits from my interview with Tessa Virtue was hearing her talk about how marriage counselling was a huge part of keeping her skating partnership with Scott Moir strong and healthy. She also talks about what their friendship is like now.

The dedication they both put in that relationship though. We could all be sad they weren’t as close now as they used to be but we could all admire that in them. The work they’ve put in in order to be the best at what they do is definitely commendable.
I wouldn't have thought of a marriage counselor but it makes sense - they were spending pretty much all day every day together. They'd better find a way to work through conflicts and stay friends.
They should put the marriage counseling to good use...and get married. The best marriages are the ones that start out as friendships. These two have been together so long that it would be a disservice to a mate if they married anyone else!

@@DanielFolsom... Excuse me.. AND have you spoken to Them?? ... They had marrige counseling to better their rappor as a skating couple... And also they were warned very early on, not to permit their feelings to interfeer with their WORK.

You've never met them, and yet you're insisting that he should divorce his current wife (when you have no idea what their marriage is like) and she should break up with her current boyfriend so that you can vicariously fantasize about them? It's pretty gross.
@@DanielFolsom She may be dating someone, but he is not married. As a matter of fact, the divorcee he announced his engagement to at an awards program was two years his senior and is no longer in the running for the Mrs. Moir position. He has had an on again, off again relationship with a fellow Canadian skater, Jessica Dube.
I shipped Tessa and Scott until I watched their reality TV show. I thought it was very revealing about how different they are, in terms of background, goals, things they like to do, and more. It seemed to me that while they're obviously great skating partners, off the ice they don't have a lot in common. That would make for a terrible longterm relationship. It was disappointing, but it's their lives, not mine.

I thought the exact same! It makes you realize it's part of their job to express these intense love emotions on the ice, and they are very good at it!

Never in my life had I seen a couple that were so similar just to each other and that they did not notice.

Look up Scott on Wikipedia, it states in October 2021 Scott announced he was the father of a 7 month old baby girl.

Scott Moir is engaged to be married. I'm not sure if he actually is married yet, there's not much out there about him, but last I heard he is engaged. Tessa is in a relationship with an NHL hockey player... I can't remember his name right now.
The name of the hockey player is Morgan Riley.
I love her with her new beau. Maybe she will get to put those marriage counseling techniques to work.

@@katehite9551 Neither of them really. They were actually never in a relationship or engaged or anything. But they have such a strong chemistry, and they’ve skated together for so long (22years) that many (like SO MANY) people wish they were together or even married. That’s why everybody’s saying they should get married
So dramatic 😂 they were skating partners that’s it. Them getting together is long overdo.
