- Olas gigantes casi hundieron estos barcos: RMS Lusitania, Queen Elizabeth 2, RMS Queen Mary y SS Michelangelo. Olas podrían haber hundido el barco SS München.
Las olas gigantes, también conocidas como olas vagabundas u olas monstruo, son olas relativamente grandes y espontáneas que no se explican por el estado del mar ni por terremotos, y que constituyen una amenaza seria incluso para los grandes barcos y transatlánticos. En oceanografía, se las define con más precisión como aquellas olas cuya altura es mayor que el doble de la media de la altura del tercio mayor de las olas en un registro.
Navegue muchos años y vi olas imponentes en el océano indicó una de ellas de unos 20 metros...a ojos de buen cubero,como se dice vulgarmente. Supongo que hoy dia con el adelanto de los satélites quizás se puedan calcular con más exactitud. La mar es impredecible.

En el Océano Índico, cuando se navega al NE o al SW de la Costa Oriental de África, se deba hacerlo por dentro o por fuera de la "Isobata" (línea de igual profundidad) de las 200 brazas porque es donde suelen aparecer estas olas monstruo. Y otra cosa, no es necesario que exista "tormenta" de viento, lluvia o mar de fondo. El mar puede "Estar como un Plato" y de pronto aparece en el Radar una ola monstruosa de hasta unos 25 mts de altura. Lo peor es que la precede una "resaca' (hondonada) de casi la misma altura. Entonces el buque cae por ella y luego debe hacer frente a la ola gigante. Si no alcanza el tiempo para ponerle la proa o una amura al menos, es muy probable que el buque de "la vuelta de campana" al "invertirse el par de sdrizamiento" (toda embarcación se comporta como un "tentetieso" pero si alteramos en forma negativa el "par de adrizamiento" el muñeco queda con la cabeza hacia abajo, al buque le ocurre lo mismo y son muchos los factores que influyen en esto, como corrimiento de cargas, superficies libres en tanques de líquidos - combustibles, lubricantes, agua dulce o de mar, etc - ).
No se puede opinar sin ser un técnico. Yo soy un Marino Profesionsl, por eso trato de explicarlo de la manera más sencilla posible).
Soy panameño navegue por mas de 10 años con la cia texaco y la esso standar oil conosco muchos paises y eso de las olas es una gran verdad lo digo por experiensa saludos

Exelente reportaje, espero no cambien y sigan con la verdad y el afán de informar más que buscar un like o pulgar arribar, me gustaría que pudieran hacer un reportaje sobre los remolinos en el mar, hay una historia del terremoto de Valdivia que ha sido uno de los más grandes registrados y cuenta la historia que una mujer que estaba en un buque en la bahía vio después del terremoto que se formó un tremendo remolino que succionó a algunas embarcaciones menores. Es un tema también interesante como esté de las olas mounstros, muchas gracias por este interesante y educativo vídeo, muchos saludos desde Chile, los felicito. !!!

Es increible pensar que algo que considerabamos que solo ocurría en la ficción, como las Olas Monstruo, son una temible realidad. Me pregunto cuantos naufragios al más puro estilo de la película "La Aventura del Poseidón" han ocurrido y no se han documentado...

John's work was also great, but why was he not called God? What exactly is the difference between the work done by Jesus and that done by John? Is the only reason that John prepared the way for Jesus?
Or because God has ordained it?
Even though JOHN also SAID, "Repent; for the kingdom of heaven is near," and he also PREACHED the GOSPEL of the KINGDOM of HEAVEN, his WORK was NOT DEVELOPED and only BUILT A BEGINNING. ☀️
In contrast, JESUS DELIVERED a NEW AGE and also BRINGED the OLD AGE to the END, but He also FULFILLED the ORDER of the Old Testament. ☀️
The work He did was greater than John's, and besides, He CAME to REDEEM ALL mankind---He did that PHASE of WORK. John only PREPARED the WAY. Although his work was great, he had many words, and many disciples followed him, his work brought no more fruit than to bring a new beginning to man. Man never received from him the life, the way, or deep truths, nor did he gain any understanding of God's will through him.
JOHN was a GREAT prophet (Elijah) who INITIATED a NEW BASIS for the WORK of JESUS and PREPARED the ELECTED; he is the FORERUNNER of the AGE of GRACE. ☀️
Such things cannot be recognized simply by looking at their normal human forms. Especially since John also did some great work and, moreover, he was born by the promise of the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit supported his work. ☀️
Because of this, determining the difference of their own identities can only be done through their work, because one cannot tell from the outward appearance of a person his spirit, nor can a person know the true testimony of the Divine that Spirit. The WORK that JOHN DID and what JESUS DID are NOT SIMILAR and DIFFERENT in NATURE. Here it CAN BE DETERMINED if JUAN is GOD or NOT. JESUS' WORK is to BEGIN, CONTINUE, END, and FULFILL. ☀️🙏
Jesus took each of these steps, whereas John's work was no more than a beginning. IN THE BEGINNING, JESUS SPREAD THE GOSPEL and PREACHED the way of REPENTANCE, THEN BAPTIZED PEOPLE, HEALED THE SICK, and CAST OUT DEMONS. ☀️
FINALLY, HE REDEEMED HUMANITY from SIN and COMPLETED HIS WORK for ALL AGE. He also PREACHED to PEOPLE and SPREADED the GOSPEL of the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IN ALL PLACES. It is the SAME as JOHN, whose DIFFERENCE is BECAUSE JESUS DELIVERED a NEW AGE and BRINGED to PEOPLE an AGE of GRACE. 🙏
THE WORD CAME FROM HIS MOUTH about what MAN should DO and the WAY MAN should FOLLOW in the AGE of GRACE, and in the end, He FINISHED THE WORK OF REDEMPTION. Juan could never perform such a task. And so, JESUS DOES the WORK of GOD HIMSELF, and He is GOD HIMSELF and directly REPRESENTS God. 🙏
Human understandings say that all those who are born of promise, born of the Spirit, confirmed by the Holy Spirit, and who open new ways out are God. According to this reasoning, John is also God, and Moses, Abraham, and David..., all of them are also God. Isn't this a big joke?
