  • Join me on a relaxed Autumn Photo walk in the Cotswolds, at Woodchester Manson Park. I capture images from Landscape to Wildlife photography at a location that offers a variety of scenery and wildlife. Boat houses, lakes, woodland and an abandoned Victorian Mansion, there just wasn't enough time to get around it all!
    Thank you for watching this video, let me know in the comments section if you enjoyed this more chilled out style of photography and if you enjoyed any of the images taken. I aim to upload weekly so make sure to subscribe so you don't miss next weeks video!

    Woodchester was a great place for a photo walk! Reccomend a location in your local area (no matter where you are in the world!) for an interesting photo walk that may inspire other photographers! Thanks for watching. 😊

    Awesome vlog again! Loved so many shots, those autumnal colours are great and I’m so envious of that, although I know it hasn’t been a normal autumn over there. “Path to the boat house” was a nice composition 🤩, “changing colours” was also nice, I do like the tones in that one. Quite jealous as well of the trees you have, “now that’s a great tree” very well named! Great shots 😊

      The Autumn colours finally started to come out, has been tricky trying to predict when they would peak but I'm very happy that I've managed to get a few Autumnal images in the bag. I think the Path to the Boat House was one of my favourites so I'm glad you like it. Thanks for watching Rauri, appreciate it 🙏 😄

      A fantastic place to walk around! I'd say I only managed about half of the area as well that day. Keen to explore the other half! The boat house facinated me too, I can see myself going back there in future as the seasons change to see what other shots I can get. Thanks so much for watching Adrian, hope you had a great weekend 👍

    Afer a minute oir so I had to stop the video to see where it was.. interesting looking place and somewhere I can use my NT crad to park I assume? Not that far from me either. I will contest your shakiest hands in creation statement... mine have and always been terrible, lol. Like the way you compile your videos, it flows along at a nice pace and even when doing bits to camera the b-roll is always to the point. I liked the "chaotic pond"... it needed a pano too though I thought? Another enjoyable watch. atb Al

    Great video Courtney! The images by the chaotic pond were so painterly, I loved them, you really captured the mood of the scene beautifully! Autumns here in Edinburgh (Scotland in general) are great, especially compared to how the trees look now in the winter. Keep up the good work!

    Have landed here from CZcams recommendation. Happy for it because the video is awesome. What a beatufyul place. If it was here (Spain) it would be full of trash, for sure. So tiring. If you visit that pond again pay attention because it seems to be a perfect place to find a kingfisher. Regards.

    • @CourtneyVictoria
      @CourtneyVictoria  Před 2 lety

      Oh welcome to the channel haha! 😁 I wonder if they have people to maintain this location or maybe people are just very considerate because it is actually very clean. It's such a shame when a beautiful place is ruined with trash. I'll definitely keep that in mind! A Kingfisher would be a great shot. Thanks for watching!

    The path to the boathouse - great shot, and the one over the water of it (towards the end of the vid) too. That’s an interesting place for a walk around, I suppose a similar one in my neck of the woods would be a place called Dunham Massey, although it isn’t abandoned!

    Interesting place , have spent a lot of time in and around the Cotswolds but never been there. Will visit next time in area. I tend to hand hold most of the time now since switching from Nikon to Fuji. The XT 4 IBIS is brilliant and only use a tripod when absolutely necessary . Liberating not having to fiddle with tripod. Enjoyed the video and photos.

    • @CourtneyVictoria
      @CourtneyVictoria  Před 2 lety

      A great place to explore, I'd definitely recommend it to those who enjoy a good walk and nice scenery. Nice, it can definitely be a bit of a pain to set up with a tripod. I don't mind it too much but I think I'm more likely to explore composition ideas when hand held. Thanks Iain, hope you had a great weekend 👍

    Your video inspired me to visit this location when I was passing through the county last week. I spent a very pleasant 2 or 3 hours there - and ended up with some images of the boathouse which are very similar images to yours which shouldn’t really be a surprise to me. The walk back up hill to the car nearly killed me though. I then stopped at Coaley Peak for lunch. My goodness it was breezy up there.

    Hi Courtney. New sub here, attracted by locations I recognise (here and Castle Combe). Woodchester is a great place for walks with a camera. I tried a while back and just couldn't get the shot I wanted of the boat house from the other side with reflection because the shrubs were so overgrown. It's been on my list to go back for a while now. Try Lacock when you get a chance, and it has the advantage of not having that steep climb back to the car park!

    I am sure you have been asked many times, but I notice you have "VR" turned off on your main lens. For someone who says they "have the shakiest hands in creation", would this not be helpful?
