Ok, in regards to moving advice...we are a family of 7, and we just moved from California to Pennsylvania, arrived on Easter Sunday. In regards to your belongings, to not get rid of any furniture that isn’t broken. Due to Covid it is extremely hard to replace furniture. We bought couches in February, they won’t arrive until mid August, and the dates have been changed 3 times. We went through this with appliances as well. So really hold on to things until you physically have the new things in your possession. It’s crazy right now !
Great tip!! We are a family of 6 (all very young boys!!) and we recently moved. Keeping your old things will help them feel good in a new place because their belongings didn’t change. I can understand wanting to maybe shuffle some sleeping arrangements and starting with new bedding/decor. It may be wise to wait on that shift until after their roots have acclimated to the new soil :-) y’all are being prayed for from Greenville, SC!!
My wife asked me to watch your video today. I've gone and am still going through that wilderness. God has changed so many things in the last 3 years, including stepping away from ministry. Now we feel like we are in limbo and are waiting on God. We will continue to wait and pray and seek. Thank you for sharing and for reminding me that we are not alone in this walk. My son was about 9 when I saved my beard off. His response was to cry and said, "I want my Daddy back!". My advice to any Dad is to make sure your child/children WATCH the process. The shock can be very real for little minds.

God’s called us and told us we will be sent out to be pastors of a church in a different state. We are in the same situation. Been praying, waiting, and actively searching for over 3 years now. We know God is in control, and we don’t want to be in a place God hasn’t prepared for us. But getting down to the top 2 and being told no for unexplainable answers (literally can’t be anything but God slamming the door) MULTIPLE times is HARD. But we are confident of God’s plan, His confirmation to us that it will be happening, and His timing. Trust Him...no matter what happens. Don’t listen to others around you...listen only to God. Keep your focus on Him and He will sustain you. Praying for your family!

Completely agree about your point regarding saying yes to something hard just to get you to say yes to the actual right thing. Same happened to us in the last couple years. We felt God clearly ask us to move to another state even though we didn’t necessarily want to. When we approached our pastors about it and met with them after we all prayed and fasted, immediately after the meeting the burden about it went away for all of us. We changed plans on a dime and circumstances changed and within a year my husband was a pastor at our church. We believe God was testing our willingness to say yes to whatever he asked us to do.

My mom is a pastor , long story short , she was a cosmetologist for 40 years and obeying God’s call into the ministry was one thing , but going back to her little home church in the country , under her very traditional Baptist brother’s tutelage was another . She always says , “I ask God ( even after obeying ), are you sure Lord😂 because it’s hard to sit right with all the drastic changes sometimes God requires of us at first. Like my aunt said once when my mom asked her if she asked God about a situation that she knew what’s by exactly in line with God’s Will. She said , no , because she didn’t want to know what he had to say😂God Bless you and your beautiful family
