The new DJI Avata drone has now the possibility of stabilizing the footage with the gyroflow (gyroscope) software. Do you think it's better than Rocksteady? Let me know!

Team Rocksteady or Team Gyroscope?
Great video! I love the simplicity of just using Rocksteady and not having to do that step of post processing. I do videos on CZcams and NOT having an extra stabilization step in my workflow helps me streamline the process. I am glad the Rocksteady performance is good enough for me. So Team Rocksteady for me. But I am glad it can do either! Makes the drone more versatile. :)
I just got my Avata Monday! Incredible machine!!! So so so fun to fly. :)
happy you're enjoying!
Fantastic video with fantastic informations! Which controller did you use?
amazing AVATA :) Love it !
Thanks good info^^
This is exactly what I was wondering. Thank you for making this video so I don't have to test them all myself! I couldn't get the data, maybe I wasn't in Wide Mode.
i just tested and could not either. i believe i have my avata in rockstead mode so will turn that off.
Hola Alex, para cuando la prueba de fuego đ saludos
cool ... great skill
Nice video! How to merge or join 2 video from avata for gyroflow? like in reelsteady joiner for gorpo
i honestly prefer gyroflow over rocksteady, Rocksteady is good but when you need that super smooth footage just go gyroflow and dial back the zoom a little and youre good, if anyone hear knows i would appreciate it if you could tell me if there is a prefered bitrate to export in gyroflow . i always keep mine around 60
With the motion controller and head tracking, you can fly forward and physically turn yourself around to watch backwards while you are flying. It is crazy. It instantly made me motion sick lol. đ
Yeah i got motion sickness for hours lol. Still fun but hoping to get over it soon
@@jasonlam5738 :). It took me several sessions, But now I rarely get sick unless I do an odd motion in the air. I couldnât fly while standing for several months of practice on previous FPV drones. :) your brain gets better and better at it. :)
i will be doing a vid about that in a few days :)
@@WeTalkUAV Canât wait! My videos about the DJI FPV did better than videos about the Avata. And I think the Avata is a more versatile more impressive drone overall. The only downside is slower⊠I wonder which drone is selling more for DJI. Canât wait for your next video!
Hello, please use Ginger before flying the Avata.
Alex!
Do I need 4k - 4:3 or 4k-16:9 wide will be enough?
I hoped you guys would do an Avata 2 video. Nobody does videos as clever as yours. I need to see the drone hit a power line or have duct taped arms. đ And I need a crash test! I hope you guys are well. :) we miss you. :) â€
Can you upload a link to the gyroscope software?
name of software ?
Rock steady looks good enough! Unless your a pro (and itâs your main source of making money) and you really have time to edit, than Gyroflow, but even that has flaws, so it depends how much time you want to spend on the images
cool â€ïž
thx
Sadly only in wide and 16:9 available, but Gyroflow only is useful/looks good if the Avata would offer ultrawide and/or 4:3 with gyro data, i mean its a 4:3 sensor it should be possible but if is not possible, then with 30fps at least.
i think there's plenty of room to develop this app ... so that could be nice to do!
RockSteady sure seemed better to me. Look at GyroFlow at 1:52.. it looks like the sky is shaking.
that's what bothers me still a bit
You need to turn of the Dynamic Zoom to avoid the pulsing
Hey Alex! Where has been your content for the last 10 months? Nothing on the Mavic 3 pro, now even the Air 3? Hope everything is OK with you! Your content is awesome.
hey man thanks a lot. i really appreciate this...i'm thinking about coming back and just reading your comments...miss this sh** man
Good video as always! But i say gyro wins đđ» the video look better
wow! how is that? mostly people saying RS wins
@@WeTalkUAV The videos i rewiwed looks better after gyroscope , mabey it just my prefrence but i like it more feels more natural in some kind of way i like the flow :) but as i say it might just be me
where did you order the cable from on your goggles
the cable? i don't know it's the one that i got in my combo? isn't that the normal one?
@@WeTalkUAV ok yea I guess it come with the unit . Mind is on its way and Iâm getting things that I might need for it and I noticed the phone cord type cable you were wearing in your phone if it came with it or it can be ordered . Thanks for replying itâs a blessing to get anyone to reply back to you on here lol
I was watching the video at 2160 on my phone and the change of quality kit me hard from the avata camera to the A roll or taking part of the video done with a better camera đ€Ł
Gyroscope for m mode (acro) đ
Gyroflow is definitly way more smooth and stable compare to rocksteady
How do you download gyroflow? Seems complicated
haha
finding gyro is gittering too much. rocksteady is doing well and if your flying especially slow and steady it's pretty solid! just maidened my o3 today!
Team rocksteady , I donât like the footage from the Avata from all the videos Iâve seen itâs not very good in low light conditions , thanks for all that you do for us, regards
thank u for always being supportive steve
@@WeTalkUAV your most welcome đ
lol I ordered my Avata the day it released and it still hasn't shipped, I'm just guessing they sold out fast, great marketing campaign by DJI on this one for sure.
Your Gyroflow video looks really weird, I don't see this happening when I use it. The only problem I have with Gyroflow is the gamma shift, the exported footage is quite a bit darker / more contrasty. And this causes some loss of dynamic range.
I've also done some comparison of all the stabilisation modes, it was on a really windy day: czcams.com/video/WOvtUQrwUF0/video.html
Gyroflow is always the winner.
Gyroflow looks really jerky sometimes.
My gyro footage looks like it has a mellow/artifact look as well which Iâm not liking.
đđ€
I still havenât seen a video of a crash where the drone gets destroyed either⊠đą I donât want to destroy mine. I need you to please destroy yours. For the sake of science lol. đ. I remember when you lost your friends GoPro from the top of the DJI FPV Ahahahah. And duct taped one of the drone arms to repair it ahahahahhaâ€
I can't help noticing that the Avata footage always seems choppy with microstutters. The unevenness of the stuttering intervals makes it especially noticeable. I hope the soon to be released O3+ Air Unit FPV system does not have microstuttering.
Itâs due to 60fps interpolated to 24fps. Doesnât divide equally.
You could mitigate the problem by delivering in 60fps or 30fps instead of 24!
@@roldyftw7159 Perhaps that's it mate. I need to download a raw file so I can rule it out. Coming from a set of v1's + AU/V's which are smooth I would be distracted while flying if the video was choppy by default regardless of how much nicer the image quality is.
@@changeagent228 to clarify - the camera on avata only records in 50fps/60fps/100fps/120fps, so your goggle feed will never be choppy.
However, if you end up interpolating the footage in post-production to a different frame rate, the software will have to do some frame interpolation magic⊠not as noticeable if you go from 60fps to 30fps since it is equally divisible, but 60fps to 24fps is going to cause jitters because the frames do not divide equally.
Which region are you in? PAL or NTSC?
@@roldyftw7159 I'm in PAL but I think it might be youtube screwing it up. I can see the same microstuttering on some other channels where they filmed on a gopro at 4K60. I view on my phone which is 60hz so there should be no mismatch.

Please consider non-canned music
sorry what does that mean?
@@WeTalkUAV it means the kind of music thatâs typically bought from stock libraries. Your videos are always good, theyâd be even better with a little more care for the music. Either way, thanks for posting.
@@hellohogo âthanks for your words. i'm interested in what you say. i'll try to be more precise and careful with this from now on, do you have any ideas? thank you
