THANK YOU. I've struggled with this hateful task for years. Thanks for mentioning the ties too.
Just did this with my first down comforter and duvet. Worked great! I think I would’ve been struggling without this tip, thx!
I've just watched a few demo vids but this is the first one I could easily see and understand.
Might I add, whoever originally came up with this solution is genius!
Thank you for mentioning the pattern goes on the bottom, I always forget that. This method is definitely easiest for a king size duvet 🎉
Can you share what duvet cover you have it looks satin and love the color?
Thanks for mentioning the ties, I watched 3 videos and not one mention the ties!
I just got my first duvet cover and I said I KNOW there has got to be a way to get this thing on. Thanks, heading to try this right now!
And just like that, I’m done! Thanks so much!!
Just tried it with my bed your a life savior or should I say struggle savior
Amazing! I struggle so bad 😂
I learned the burrito method from Martha Stewart years ago!! So easy!
I watch this video every single time I have to put on my duvet cover. This video deserves infinite likes.
I've gone back to this video for months thank God for you
This is absolutely life-changing!! I did it and it worked!!! Thank you so much 🩷
I struggled at first, but once i watched the video a couple times i figured it out, it works so well 😊
Took 3 tries and a few chuckles at myself but we got there haha, third time lucky. Fab tutorial, thanks!
👍🎉
Try this instead... Turn the cover inside out, put your hands inside and grab each corner at the top, get the ends of your dovet and shake on... Much easier
I do that
I'd do that if my duvet wasn't full of feathers that fly out everywhere!!
dude ty so much this video dudnt rlly work for me but this hack was so easy ty so much
This is genius! Thank you!
Nicely done!
This so works!! Thank you for sharing!! 🎉
I just tried this. Three times. Up through the point where you turn it inside out was pretty good. Then there is this moment when there is a little edit and you unroll it. I was facing I rolled jelly roll of fabric hidden inside an envelope of more fabric. There was nothing to unroll. After some examination I noticed that there was now an end of the comforter peeking out of the slot. I stretched that out and tucked it into the internal corners, but still basically a sack. I then gripped those exposed corners and shook for a while. That did the trick, and my bad back wasn’t too stressed. So basically a combination of the methods described.
I had a similar experience with folding fitted sheets. I now have an engineering drawing with it all worked out.
This saved my life. Thanks!
I subscribed to your channel just because of this trick😂 thank you!
This must be an upper class thing. I've never seen this before. I thought a duvet and comforter were the same thing.
As a poor guy myself... It's just a giant pillow case to keep your comforter clean. Unless you want to wash your massive thick comforter every week (needing an extra laundry load itself) $$$ a duvet helps the comforter lasts longer and save money in the long run
Duvet is the UK English word for the US English word for comforter. The duvet cover (comforter cover in US English then maybe?) is something you put around it, as the person above said to prevent having to wash your comforter every week or so. It has nothing to do with upper class, but more so I think with culture. In my country for example, this is what we grow up with. Everyone in my country uses it, no matter how poor one is (although they of course get them of different quality and pricing than upper class probably does). They range in pricing from maybe ten bucks to hundreds of bucks.
It's very common in Europe - probably most places other than the U.S. Though they're sold here, too (U.S.).
Where did you get your duvet!! looks great quality, can you share the link please?
Wow 😮thank you! New subscriber 👍
Thank u so so much that did the trick Jen
Just tried it and it works! Tq for this sharing, now I’m gonna start following you ❤
I have tried several different methods; this one is best!
Thank u 🙏
Thanks for this video. I just purchased my first duvet cover. Your insert appears fluffy and comfortable; what brand is it?
So glad you made this video
Thank you 🙏 😅looks fairly easy I’m waiting for delivery of my first duvet 🎉
Thank you for make this video because I was trying to do this for hours when I found your video it worked and I did it in like a minute
Thank you it worked so well!
My grandmother taught me this. Best hack ever
Loved it. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy
Thanks ❤
Just tried (with a double stuffed duvet) and it worked!
Thank you !
It works!
Thank you so much 🙏
Thank you 🙏🏻
It was quicker for me to toss it in duvet cover, hold the 2 corners and shake it out from My 2 story staircase lol. I couldn’t get it to work with this hack. Mine was probably faster
tysm
I like that duvet cover a lot
Needed this❤❤❤❤
Thank you for this
tnx
Thank you!!!!
Thank yooouuuu
Who is here after watching SNL skit
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SAVING ME FROM A HEADACHE!!! IT WORKS!!!!
This worked like a charm. My twin had the opening on the side so i had to lay it out and put my head inside and unfold the blanket and tie it. A real pain
Thanks Lady❤
Wowwwwww
Made my life much easier
👌🏻👏👏👏Thxs
Try practicing with your pillow and pillowcase if you don't quite get it. (If the pillow is fairly flexible.)
I thot it was a great idea to buy a duvet cover & core. I think I may be wrong! It took me over an hour to change my sheets/duvet cover. The 1st time I did it I had not seen this video. I just knew it had to be easier. After watching this it was easier buuut...an hour?!!
Thank you!🤗 I could never get those duvets to go on the comforter without wrestling with it. Good hack😀🎉
Love this
I actually cannot believe that worked lol
Never truly works. Bottom line: Duvets SUCK. Buy a blanket
Es la explicación más fácil que he visto . Que marca es la funda ? Está preciosa 😍
I'm crying
How I went 25 years of my life not knowing this trick? I don’t know. THANK YOU
So strange but it works lol
What’s the difference between a duvet and a comforter
I had no idea there were even duvet covers with ties... this just isn't a thing in my country...
Omg !!! ❤❤❤
@jillcomesclean1 what kind of comforter is that?
THANKS A ZILLION!!! 😅😅😅
Second year using this trick. Still convinced you’re into some sort of black magic but damn I appreciate it
Maybe do it like the rest of the world. That would be much easier and faster
❤
Easier Tip ..buy a regular comforter
👏🏼👍🏼❤
lovely masculine woman! Hubba Hubba
Couldn’t do it!! 😤😤😤
Look no BED Bugs technique
is your duvet cosmopolitan from qe home?
That’s not how you roll a burrito
THIS DIDNT WORK UGHHHH😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
This may be the most inefficient way ever.
The inside out - grab the corners method, is done in seconds compared to this
I HATED THIS AND IT DIDNT EVEN WORK
U did it wrong then I am 11 years old and I did it right
@@Somisomsomi shut it
Use safety what?
Biggest waste of time ever shit doesn’t work
This is so unnecessarily complicated. Turn the duvet cover inside out, reach your arms in until your hands are in the corners, grab the corners of the duvet and shake.
Thats how Ive been taught to do it since a child
You don't mention - put the comforter over or under the duvet when you do the grabbing & grab it at the same time, right?
@jvallas neither, the duvet is just on the bed, you are standing next to bed with your hands inside at the corners. Grab the duvet, pull it up and shake it. The cover will go over. Button up.
Don’t you use ties?
@libertygal I don't think so, mainly because I don't know what they are. Everyone in the UK just shakes the duvet into the duvet cover (takes 30 seconds) and then just do up the buttons at the bottom to close the cover. There is nothing holding the duvet in place, but I've never had a problem with it coming out of place.
So, learn to prepare burrito.
Great trick but F duvet covers. They can go to hell along with knitting and painting
That's crazy
Does not work
This method takes too long lol!
NO
😂😂😂😂😂😂 waste of time😅
No. The correct way is to turn it inside out, put your hands in the opposite corners, with those same hands grasp the ends of the duvet and shake the cover over it. Tuck in the uncovered corners and close it up. Literally takes less than a minute. No rolling and wrestling with it. Us Europeans have been doing this for centuries, we know our stuff.
Must be small beds. I've battled with my California King trying to do it that way.
@@nuthinbutlove I have a king duvet, no issues. After you shake the cover down the duvet, lay it on the bed and all that’s left is to tuck in the other two corners, button it/zip it up. Then you can pat the sides down to make sure nothings bunched up. It’s quite simple with a little practice. Good luck.
As a European myself I've been doing it without even knowing about the roll option. I still wouldn't say it's the 'right' way though. As my back is starting to hate me for it in Winter (what with having a double 4 seasons duvet during that time) I think I might try the roll one instead. Just a personal choice rather than right or wrong I suppose.
@@romif1413 I have back issues as well and I tried the "European" way when I first started using a duvet. My back was angry with me for days lol.
@@nuthinbutlove aaargh, unfortunately I totally understand! I love learning new tricks like this to make it all somewhat customized to your own body and preferences and all. I don't believe in a 'one size fits all' for homemaking. I've learned we need to find what works for us!
Comforters are cheap the price of food is more important to me than a pillowcase over my comforter. I am more concerned with people starving than my bed looking better than myself
The purpose of a duvet isn't only to decorate. It keeps your comforter clean for a longer period of time so it won't need to be washed as often. I've seen duvets as inexpensive as $25. The money it saves in laundering the comfort can feed many
@@nuthinbutlove i use a light blanket I have to wash it often because I drag it around with me 🤷♀️
@@mylamberfeeties875 🙂
It doesn't look any better than a pretty comforter. It's about practicality. Smaller amount of fabric to wash. I've even taken it on vacation to have my *own* cover that's relatively light packing. And money - the underneath comforter lasts longer, and the duvet is usually cheaper. If you sew, 2 sheets make a simple duvet.
Your havin a fkn laugh!!🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱
'Jill comesclean' so who is 'jillcomesdirty'🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
