Kudos for keeping the milkweed around.
I had a Cummins before the fuel filter would bleed back into tank overnight. Cummins came out with different style fuel filer and solved the problem. 🤷♂️👍
Lol funny😂 the phone in the pump handle
Him asking us if we seen the air hose attachment is so endearing.
Matt - please don’t quit making youtube videos. I had a chuckle when you did the epic time lapse of you eating an apple. Appreciate the content as always. Keep it up!
More to come!
You sir, are top-notch. Love your channel man the epic time lapse of you eating the apple was the best thing I’ve seen on CZcams.lol. I’m living vicarious through you guys would love to be in my tractor bailing hay, but I’m stuck in a chair healing up from cancer surgery. I have stage 4 melanoma. Had half my foot cut off. Stay safe out there, Scott Central, Alberta, Canada.
Hey there Scott. Hope you’re healing up well. 🍻👍
@@chadtosh6831Hey Chad.
I came over because Farmer Taylor’s Ranch mentioned you.😉
Thanks for the shoutout! Yes we are in Northern CA, just a little north of Sacramento. I turn with a self propelled swather the same way you do
You bet thank you for mentioning us.!! Iam serious about coming to California someday and would like to visit the ranch! 👍
Now me, I'm saving up my money to go to South Dakota. Actually, I want to go to Sodak, FTR, and Farm and Hammer. Now there's a hard working young man.
I watch all 3 of them. Farm and Hammer is located in Missouri.
I’ve hit the like button I am subscribed please don’t stop making these great videos
I love the jokes and the humor
Definitely my favorite CZcams channel I work on my family dairy farm but this is my goal to do one day and these videos really show the in depth details of ranching keep up the good work guys
I always hit the thumbs up for you and sassy pants
I grew up on the other side of the state, but had friends while attending SDSU in the early 90s from over your way, so hunted and fished nearby, (and the rest of the state). Kept moving east with employment, but do make it home annually.
Long story short, just found your channel and appreciate the memories it brings back, and the reconnection with my roots. 👍👍
Glad you found us and thanks for watching
Lekker man lekker 🇿🇦
I have farmer/rancher family in the Milbank area and more family in Aberdeen. I miss the prairie. Thanks for the videos. :)
just discovered your channel. Wonderful videos. Love your canine support team.
You made me smile so I gave you a thumbs up. Keep them coming. So glad you are getting a good hay crop.
Fuel is leaking back, check your lines and fittings it dissent take much air to allow it to leak back
I drive over one windrow and turn sharp like you. I only make 2 headland passes
New subscriber here. I really enjoy your channel. Farmer Tyler mentioned you so I'm checking it out. Glad I did.
I always cut the corner, wheel braked a turn, this left a bit of uncut grass at the corners, then on the last round cut out the corners, up and back, it’s quicker, you’re not lifting you cutter bar at all during the day,
Always like your videos. We keep our milkweed around for the same reason.
Please enjoy this positive comment to tickle your algorithm
Keep up the good work
Thanks!
You are funny about the stay in school. I agree with previous comments about you showing what it takes to farm and your tricks of the trade.
I agree with the way you do it, the others think they are saving time and money.
The rear rad vacuum tube on mine squeaks/rubs as well, think its the shims and washers on the mount that rotate slightly agaisnt each other. Little bit of graphite or lube quiets it for a while
Just found your videos and they are informative and entertaining. I took your advice, got an education so I was drinking martinis at six o’clock. But I really miss the rural culture. Anyway where did you get your chessy dogs? I had two that I bought from New Prague, MN. Morgan
Beautiful barley
I do the same thing for turning over the top of the 2nd windrow, and try to not turn too sharp to gouge the ground especially with lugged tires.
We had a John Deere self propelled and we kick it in neutral when we turn so we don’t tear up the sod.
You can add a check valve in ur fuel line keeps the fuel in the line makes it easier and quicker to pick up
I have an old 855 Cummins, i spin it over a couple times, then stop for a second, then start spinning again, and it fires right off. It took a while to figure out that trick for mine.
Well algorithm must be working. Your channel popped up and I am hooked. Howdy from northeast Alabama.
Dam good job
Always a joy to watch Matty looking forward to the next one
Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮
Great job cutting your barley Matt
I run a 16 foot swather very similar to yours
I turn my corners the same way you do. Just try not to turn so sharp that you tear up the sod and leave a clump of dirt
Nice looking bales Matt
Great video Matt
You might have a small leak in one of your fuel lines which is allowing air into the system and fuel is draining back into the tank. Won't start again until the fuel pump pushes that air out.
I had a similar truck for a fire truck. The fuel line got a little dry rot in it. It was a pretty cheap fix.
I turn the same way you do. Enjoy your videos.
It has ball valve on pump to keep fuel backing off enjoy your videos be safe God bless.
U Guys Keep Rocking. Love U Guys and ur Work Ethics. Just makes my Day watching U All. Great Doggies that know the Scoop. Keep up the Great Work Matt. Ellie is such a Vibe.
We turn around the same way you do. Here in Idaho, we use a fluffer on the outside rounds if we need too. Keep up the good work thanks Matt!!
Farmer Tyler Ranch is near Lincoln, Ca., northeast of Sacramento.
I'm not a farmer but surrounded by farms - I'm from Waubay SD 👍
If you turn sharp and fast you can make ridges of dirt with your tire tread which can end up in your bale. It also tears up the stand of hay which isn’t ideal, for sure in alfalfa.
have you considered using or building a cheap jaw rock crusher for the field stones?
as far as he turning i think most of the time its more skipping every other row so you dont make short turns and tearing up the ground where you pivot on the tire.
going wider its a little less ground ripping up and may be able to carry more speed when turning, but other then that i think its mostly up to how you like to go.
On your truck, put a one way fuel valve to stop the fuel running back. It used to happen on mine but it would run the battery so low it wouldn't turn over butafter putting the valve in it would start
You're a funny guy!🤣
Jax from Wild Wild West, he's been on my favorites list for at least 3 years now. My husband and I even listened to his podcast Steady At the Wheel....he and his family have the best stories on Ranching and trucking. This is very quickly becoming one of my favorites to watch! Glad I stumbled across this one!!
You and Tyler have a lot in common. In particular you are both ranchers who excel at what you do and you both have areas around the house that look like junk yards (that's humour not criticism). Great video thank you
When you turn on a dime in a self propelled it’ll leave a big bald spot in your hay field we used to get our butts chewed for turning to sharp lol I’ve even heard stories of guys kicking it in neutral if they turn on a dime I suppose takes a lot of the strain off one side of the machine idk?
Great content. Keep up the good work and never stop the CZcams
I just bought similar unit hw325. No auto steer. Sickle haybine head. I do the same to turn. Prevent driving over windrows
FRT is in Lincoln, CA
Thanks🍎🍎🍎
my grand father taught me that we could eat the entire apple, core, stem, seeds and all, because there is trace minerals in the seeds just like the cows, mules and horses do.
Ha ha I thought I was the only rancher crazy enough to like both StraightPipeAcres and Wild Wild West! Talk about different personalities lol. But both hard working families and I have learned from both! You are a wealth of knowledge yourself sir!
I live my best life ranching with my son Pete and daddy in law Bobby T keep up the good work!!
👍👌❤️🇨🇦, crazy good video
Well it could be a few things. Bad lift pump. Injectors, or there could be a fitting that needs tightened.
Rock farming!!😊
Check the lever that shut the fuel off, spring might be weak, happened on my 7130 tractor added another spring, bingo it works again
Lol you throw the best part of the apple away
fuelline from the tank to fuel pump has pin hole in it or is so old air is gettin in. You wouldn't see leak cuz ain't under pressure.
I do what you do with the windrower. Less driving too. I’m in East River SD, Belle area.
Most likely old fuel lines when the lines get old they will allow the fuel to leak back even if it’s not leaking out of the lines it will bleed back into the tank after it sits for a bit
if that dump truck has a mechanical lift pump, it needs replaced it's no longer holding prime.
Another great video. I always get a laugh or two out each of your videos.
Should be check valve to stop fuel from bleeding back.
yup if im not 3 seconds or less from header up to header down then i'm wasting time, my drive tires are pretty worn so it doesnt tear the turf up too bad
Big chain hint : go online and buy a 6 pack of best quality motorcycle chain lube in spray cans. The price may shock you but it will save you many dollars on chains and sprockets. It attracts less than 1/4 of the dirt and dust that accumulates on chains compared to using old motor oil.
Giver smoke!!
Keep 'em coming, I enjoy your channel!
I do it the same way you do it
That is how we do it
On your drawbar, why can't you just flip it over? Great videos too! Thanks!
Keep em comin Matt!
Huge 👍🏻🆙‼️🇺🇸🫡
Get Fancy Pants to level the gravel
Nice job of videoing
I belive Farmer Tyler is up north around Chico.
Anomaly inside a paradox .🤔
Definition of a rancher.
Hello. Are you you cutting a paddock/pasture or a designated hay field? Love your channel!
Thanks, Tom…
Or a planted field?
Let’s go
Morning
could you just flip that drawbar over to raise 4 inches.
2 bales per apple. Must be heavy crop
Where is your ranch at in South Dakota
fuel pump going out
or need a new filter
Yep Farmer Tyler Ranch has mentioned you twice,,, I already watched you.. I've watched him for 3 yrs I think.. good dude.
Thanks 😊
