I don't know about it being "awesome".
It could use some innovative improvements.
I think the when the shells explode, they should release a cloud of metallic, sticky paint.
Even if they plane is not hit by the shell, the cloud would clog up the engine. If it does, the paint will make the aircraft easier to track. Especially if the metal is low level radioactive.
And, if the paint forms into a jell when it hits the plane, it will change how air circulates around the plane, and disrupt its aerodynamics.

I have watched actual A-10 live fire training and they don’t fly around like in this simulation. Once the pilot spotted the AA he would have set up an attack run and obliterated the AA with a hellfire or 30 mm with minimum exposure to fire from the AA.

Using an awful lot of fire to down a jet they seem incapable of hitting!!!
They eventually succeeded when the jet flew directly overhead, one heat seeking missile should have completed the job
decoy flares could've counter those Missiles
This is actually very effective. How much cost one missile and how much cost bullets for this anti air tank? compared to the cost of the jet.

The A10 is built to fly low, lower speed , devastating power and armor you don't fly it like a normal jet.

Idk if the game does this, but modern AA Gun shots explode after certain distances to make sure it wont hit something they dont want

a-10 is a dedicated ground attack platform, doesn't JUST use its' gun. thou it does prefer to. i always figured their flight profiles where more to hit from range but to challenge enemy fire to direct at them and aim the armored part of the craft into that incoming fire.... if need be. really depends on the value of hitting a target i guess.

A-10s are the only US aircraft allowed to double-strafe. They fire at 10,000’ slant range to take out the ZSU-23/4’s radar dish. Then, while the ZSU is switching to optical mode. The A-10 fires at around 4,500’ to kill the vehicle.
The maximum effective range or the 23/4 is 9,800’, so it’s a ballsey move by the A-10.

Ein Kampfjet würde niemals so nahe heran fliegen, sondern aus bis zu 20 km mit Raketen die Stellung ausschalten.
The two guns should shoot parallel to each other, then you get a " good spread" at them fast fliers !
i think they do that already. in the shots where you see the turret of the AA tank rotate the guns are parallel.
