He did beat them all, Grady was on Top of his game in those days and could not Beat Efren and they played several matches. Efren ended up spotting Grady 10-8 I think. Efren took a lot of shots that he wouldn't have played these days. Much more aggressive with combos, etc. The first sign of it was the 6 covering Grady's pocket in game 1. Efren would have played it out today...instead, he runs 4, after a relatively difficult combo to start, then plays it out. Fun to watch how aggressive he was then.

I like this match, but the video is terrible for two reasons.
    1) There is no commentary, just crowd noise in the background. Someone need to do commentary on this match, so we know what is going on.
    2) There is no score on the screen, we have no idea what the score is, or what they are going to, is it best of 3 or best of 5, is there a spot, or are they playing straight up.

Hayden W. Lingo, often cited as "the man who invented the billiards game of One Pocket",[1] was a prominent early proponent of the game, and a top player in the United States in the 1940s through the 1960s.[1][2] His rules are said to be those adopted as the basis for the rules used in the first Jansco brothers' Johnston City One Pocket Tournament in 1961, and the first published rules for the modern game.[1]
      Hayden W. Lingo
      Born
      February 28, 1907
      Texas, US
      Died
      January 28, 1973 (aged 65)
      Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, US
      Nationality
      American
      Known for
      Expert One Pocket billiards player
A resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Lingo travelled widely in pursuit of competition, as far afield as Boston, Massachusetts.[1] Described as well-dressed and soft-spoken, he was said to be an unusually smart player, approaching One Pocket like a studious chess master approaches the game of chess,[1][3] and a master of ball control, with a superior knowledge of the game.[1]
In 1963, Lingo authored a pamphlet about the game of One Pocket that has been preserved in the Library of Congress.[4]
He was inducted into the One Pocket Hall of Fame in 2006.[1][2]
      Personal Edit
Born on March 28, 1907 in Texas, Lingo was brought by his parents to Oklahoma, where he married Marguerite Crowder on April 9, 1935 in Oklahoma City. He served in the US Army in World War II from April 1942 through October 1945.[5] He died on January 28, 1973 in Oklahoma City.

I see/hear nothing in this match that I consider rude or disrespectful as one comment suggested. I think maybe My Reyes was perhaps not accustomed to the etiquette of older players and The Professor was suggesting that certain unspoken or old school rules applied... for example, back the "F" up when I'm shooting and How about not stand in my line of sight, please... LOL! Old School meets Next Generation BABY! I'm Lovin' It! CRAZY to think Mr Reyes is retired now!
