I'm planning on buying a city car in the next few months. I agree with all of your likes. I agree about the headrest as well, I think adjustable headrest is a minimal cost increase. I disagree about not having adjustable height seats. No cars in this class have them. I very much disagree about the engine. All the competitors in this segment have 3 cylinder >70hp engines. The Brio way out does it's competition with 4 cylinders and 90hp. I would add one dislike, I wish it had 60/40 folding rear seats. I think the Celerio is still the value leader in the class but the Honda's better engine and much better looks has it in the lead for my purchase. One more big like I can add is that Honda only requires service every 6 months as opposed to every 3 months for the competition. That translates into savings.
I just got my brio... and i like most is the engine... its way ahead than the competitor... mirage, wigo, eon, celerio... its responsive, no vibration and fuel efficient. Its a 4cylinders not like the competitors with only 3cylinders.

Masyado mababa ground clearance sa 135mm. Yun lang ang problema. Sana tinaasan pa (maybe around 165mm) Overall, it is good. Fuel consumption for city driving is around 9km/l. Highway gives me a 14km/l. That is based on 2 persons weighing a total 170kgs plus some light luggages (around 20kgs).
What about the ground clearance..137 lang..bat di nila tinaasan..we have potholes and flooded streets during the rainy season..di ba sya sumasayad sa mga humps?

The Toyota Vios, Honda City, Mazda 2 or Volkswagen Santana for subcompact sedans. For hatchbacks, the Brio bec it has a lot more hp than the competition. For something cute/iconic, the Suzuki Swift. :)

If you want you can always upgrade your seats into racing seats in the mere future like those guys who always modifying their civics sa katagalan.... No problem naman sa mga pinoy yung seat heights kasi sa average height ng mga pilipino.. inde gaano tayo katankad.
I don't think the first gen brio's "ugly ass" rear hatch is from a ran-out-of-ideas moment. I'm no brio fan or hater, but I think it was inspired from a 3rd gen civic with the glass all the way down.
Yes. I kinda liked the previous gen's rear. It's a standout, you will notice it immediately that it is a Brio. Now this current gen exterior while more masculine but it looks uninspired, it really looks like a smaller mobilio.

Di mo masyado ramdam yung shifting from 1st gear to 2nd gear wherein sa Dzire mejo sakal yung takbo nung tinest drive namin. Sa Interior naman almost tabla lang. May aircon vent sa backseat yung dzire so +1 yon kung may mga bata ka na pasahero. Sa Aircon mas ok yung Dzire. Denso din kasi Aircon non same sa aircon ng mga Nissan. Trunk space mas lamang din si Dzire Sa Resale value lamang yung Honda. After a few years mahal padin ang honda. Maintenance cost talo sa Honda kasi mahal talaga ang maintenance at parts. External Looks mas Ok yung Brio for me. Halos magkapresyo yung top of the line nila pero mas mas lamang si Honda kasi busog na sa body kit at spoiler pati 15s mags yung cvt RS.
