@@tonydoherty2190 As a former TV celebrity guest booker I can answer that for you - it's because booking big stars for TV shows is tough. Whoever booked this actually did very well to get names like Roger Taylor and Kirsty MacColl on the same show. You always have lesser names make up the numbers - it isn't realistic to think you can line up ALL A-listers for every TV show!
The last time Roger Taylor was on a pop quiz, it was on _Pop Quiz,_ and he was a team captain. In fact, he was a team captain in all seven of his appearances on _Pop Quiz,_ facing off against the likes of Hank Marvin of The Shadows, Dave Edmunds, John Taylor of Duran Duran and Toyah Willcox.
He was captain on the Christmas 1983 show, and recently watched one from the first series with him on a team, but sadly they've been deleted from here (BBC doing it, either for copyright, or because of Mike Read's recent musical direction!), but anyway, they were great quality, slightly clunky (like Bullseye) and even sixties artists looked like they still had a paper round (Paul Jones most notably).
I take it lost of sound is due to copyright issues, which personally I think is ridiculous for such a peep of music. The copyright law needs a proper overhaul of you can bypass the law if you are a dab hand of knowing all the loopholes in the law.

Kirsty was so sweet in this. Such a great loss. I miss her.
I was heartbroken when I heard the awful news. May she always RIP xx
Really miss these pop quiz shows. Been binge watching them on CZcams but would be so good to bring them back.

I'm envious, I would love to have met the great Kirsty MacColl.
This show should come back, much more entertaining than 'celebrities dancing on shite'!
I second that!! I’d completely forgotten they did this!
As long as it wasn’t populated by the chart arts of today!
There are only 2 decent singers there roger and holder not sure why the other 4 are there

RIP Kirsty MacColl.
I’ve watched Question of Sport pretty much every week since I was a kid in the 90s and I never knew about this show until right now!
Really? The original series was compulsory Saturday evening viewing in the early 80s :)
Yeah I’m a 80s kid, don’t remember this at all in 2000. Only Never Mind the Buzzcocks, which was better than this and Mike Read’s Pop Quiz……
Do you mean Mike Read’s Pop Quiz? There was no Question of Pop in the 80s, lol……
Noddy reminds me of Jon Pertwee’s Dr. Who here. Oh, and Kirsty is utterly adorable, as always.
Wish this programme was still on tv

I have been watching pop quiz not seen it before last week but I am sure I saw him not as captain on one but I maybe mistaken.

Poor sweet Kirsty MacColl R.I.P. hunny you were took from us far too soon xxxx.

I believe this was the year Kirsty passed saving her son.
Many thanks for uploading
She's been gone twenty-two years today
You can't keep Roger Taylor off a pop quiz can you?
Thanks for uploading this..it caught my eye on my suggested section...Brilliant, Sonique 👌🤗
I loved Noddy back in the 80's with Slade.
Back in the 70s was better.

Exactly that. Usually these days they simply monetize the clips but sometimes they mute them still. Better than just blocking everything though.
