Obviously, Candide’s skills and creativity are unparalleled and I love watching him, but the main thing I feel when seeing him ski is “the balls on this guy”. Like, just the way he charges everything is a big part of his style. You never see him have one of those midair moments of hesitation where the float suddenly looks haphazard.

Depuis l'époque ou Jean Marc Boivin et les autres dont je ne me souviens plus les noms, ces jeunes sont arrivés à un degré de maîtrise dans cette discipline que nous étions loin de penser qu'un tel niveau serait atteint et je pense qu'ils n'ont pas fini de nous étonner. Un monstre de courage, aussi... Même s'il reconnait 10, 20, trente fois le parcours avant de le faire à fond. Et même, s'il s’arrête, ne serait-ce que pour reprendre du souffle. Bravo aussi à son caméraman... qui est dans ses traces, qui ne le lâche pas et qui cadre remarquablement. C'est jubilatoire!
