I made a playlist with portuguese songs I used to listen when I lived in Portugal and was trying to learn the language. Where I lived, rained all the time, and where I live now it rains like two times per year. So yes, I do miss the rain.

@@ThatOneAngryTuga Yes, most people know this. This person is studying Spanish and French, so they naturally make distinctions between the two in order to not confuse the two. When a third language is introduced, it typically lies halfway on one side of the wall the brain made in pattern recognition and halfway on the other. That's what they are getting at here, not being oblivious to the fact that the languages are related...
I'm half Portuguese, I barely know the language, but I really wish I knew the language of the country that is so close to my heart, and this playlist gives me motivation to want to learn it more, I'm half Portuguese half Scottish :)

My family is from the island Pico which is part of the Azore Islands. Sadly I never learned Portuguese as my great-grandmother wanted to become 100% American when they immigrated here, which meant no more speaking Portuguese at home😅 My mom said she was worried they would develop accents and get made fun of so she never taught them so I’m trying my best to learn on my own and stumbled on this video 😊 I have been looking for Portuguese music I can listen to and try to learn ❤
As a portuguese the Açores Islands are super beautiful! You need to go there on a vacation! I'm from continental Portugal and went on a summer vacation to the Açores and went whale watching... I saw a sperm whale (Lol) literally 10 meters away from our boat it was surreal! The island is beautiful and not to far from the US (depending on where you live inside the US). Couldn't recommend it more!
This is lovely. I've been a fan of Brazilian music--especially bossa nova--for decades. But this year, I visited Portugal for the first time and fell in love. I've even started studying Portuguese, so I won't be so much of a "tourist" next time. ^_^
On my taxi ride to the airport, my driver was listening to the radio and one song was so beautiful, I wish I knew who the singer was... Oh, and you have the best coffee I've ever had in my life! I really think you put other drugs in your lattes, because I would feel this mild wave of bliss from the first sip. LOL.

Hopefully it’s all clear to go back to Portugal by this time next year, I was due to return back to Portugal in early 2020 but obviously that never happened. Can’t wait to revisit those coastal cafes and bars i’ve adored ever since my first visit. All the best from the UK 👍🇬🇧

@@cellokid5104 Maybe because thousands of years of culture are important when you were born in a country that has 200~300 years of History. And because European culture is very different among different small countries, it is like knowing from which "tribe" you came. I am proud of my portuguese ancestry which is by the way a mix of several different DNA, from northern africa to northern europe. My 2 cents :D
Currently in Portugal for my two-month internship, I consider the Portuguese as one of the smoothest and most beautiful languages in the world and the first song (the only one of this playlist I have listened to for the moment) confirms it. I hope I will learn it, I understand a lot when it is writed Portuguese because I am Spanish, so it is easier for me to learn. Portuguese people are good too, I love this country ❤
