In modern society, where we are disconnected in reality whilst attempting to connect virtually, our elders are suffering more than ever. Colin catches respect not only as a veteran but as an older adult and I'm hopeful that one impact of his win will be to help unite younger generations and older generations in Britain again. :) I am sure that his newfound pocket money will help him to lead a comfortable and happy end of his years and that he will help others too. Congrats Colin!

Many people sing beautifully but don't really feel the words. Nobody voted for him due to sympathy. Maybe you should be less of a cynic. Never met my dad's father who's my grandfather. In just one sec he made me remember my granny she loved singing so much. Rip granny and grandpa.

I cannot imagine how fantastic he must have sounded 20, 30, 50 years ago. He could have been a superstar. I cannot imagine what it took to maintain that beautiful voice with which he has been blessed, but he must have lived a very good life, as well as having his wife provide the wind beneath his wings after a difficult childhood experience. I am just amazed at how special Colin is. May he continue to perform his beautiful music and spread the love and humility he has in so much abundance to the rest of us.

You know I was born in 80' & I really love different kinds of music. I really appreciate the oldies from back in his youth days even though I haven't listened to it as much as anything else but this is a real treat! When he sang "Wind Beneath my Wings" for his wife that passed it gave me goosebumps because it was so beautiful the way he sang it & the meaning it held for him. Thank you Colin for sharing a piece of your heart with the world! ❤❤❤❤❤💯
