Wow, never saw actual good musician sit there and break down their music in the DAW before, this is phenomenal.
I am an old guy and my kids turned me on to this music...not an easy task as I don't normally like new music. These guys are true, talented musicians (something that seems kinda lost today). I love the music, and the passion that is involved in making it is so inspiring. Keep up the good work.
It’s not lost, you just need to stop looking at pop stars for it. Look at the amazing producers behind those pop stars. Or artists like Jon Bellion or Ronnie Radke from falling in reverse. Or the lead singer of bear tooth who writes, records, mixes and masters every record. Talented musicians aren’t lost, in fact with artists like polyphia and dance Gavin dance it’s clear there are better musicians alive today than ever in history, you just don’t take the time to find them.

Not really, in my opinion. My favourite EDM song of all time was made by one person using *mobile* so I think otherwise.

I have so much of an appreciation for this song. It has so many instruments, so many little details, I absolutely love music like this.
I *LOVE* that they use trumpets and instruments like cello and violin, i wish more musicians would do it but i’d be afraid they’d do it wrong or miss the point 😅

This is so helpful! I love making music, but it’s hard and quite frankly I still don’t understand a lot of this, BUT it’s still so helpful. Even if I don’t understand the technical terms, I still can kinda understand what you’re saying.

My daughter introduced me to AJR with this song and I was hooked. Now AJR is all I listen to on the road.
An interesting idea for the instrumorphing, doing a fourier transform could convert it into component sine waves that could be interpolated between (you'd have to interpolate the phase and amplitude rather than the real and imaginary parts or else it would just be fading). There's a lot of messy stuff with applying fourier transforms to audio, but most of it has been figured out by audio compression people.
