  • Hey guys! In this video, I'm showing you how to easily apply loose glitter (mess-free!) to your face for a fun festival look. This application has lasted me through hours of dancing at festivals like EDC, EZOO, and Ultra.
    Products used:
    Tattoo Wax
    Aquaphor
    Loose glitter (Martha Stewart 24 pack - amazon)
    Chunky loose glitter (Michael's Craft Stores)

    Finally a simple video for the simple look I was looking for!!! Everyone else either has a video with a super complex look or really quick video on mute with music but, doesn’t say what they use. The Jennifer Lopez song just made the video 10 times better! Love it!

    Ok, so this is awesome. HOWEVER, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE use cosmetic grade glitter on your face. There are so many awesome brands for this purpose. In chunky, super chunky, fine, super fine sizes and all beautiful. Craft glitters, like the ones your mention, are made with materials that will scratch your face and can absolutely destroy your eyes if it gets in by mistake. I know you probably know this by now. Just letting your viewers know in case they miss the other comments about this. :) shine on.

    Aloe is also great for that! Also be careful not professional cosmetic grade make up glitter... craft glitter can cause issues if you get it in your eyes it can cause blindness. Use cosmetic grade glitter.

    Awesome video. One question why didnt you continue using the tattoo wax for the bigger glitter? Is there a reason you switched to the aquaphor or vice versa why didnt you use aquaphor for all of it. Just trying to understand thr difference

    Would the setting spray seal the wax/aquafor? I would assume so but I figured I'd ask. I'd like to try this look but I am concerned off the bat of my hair sticking in the wax which would not be a good look. LOL

    • @EmmaKapotes
      @EmmaKapotes  Před 5 lety +1

      Azure Kate it definitely seals everything in and the wax dries down really well too!

    Hi Emma! So glad I found your videos! How do you take this off? Usually with my glitter (at least for my eyes) I use scotch tape. Do you recommend that method? I was thinking the aquaphor or tatwax might interfere with the stickiness of the tape and make it not very effective.

    • @EmmaKapotes
      @EmmaKapotes  Před 6 lety +1

      FreakyRHCPStyley I just use makeup wipes or my makeup cleansing balm!

      I just went to Spring Awakening and I never ended up ordering tat wax and my skin hates Aquaphor but used a Wet and Wild glitter single and it was perfect. They are $1 and it is glitter mixed into a sticky base so i tapped that on and then pressed in my own glitters and it worked super well! So i definitely recommend that as a cheap/easy alternative especially since you can find them at like CVS and Walgreens and stuff.

    I'd imagine it's the same process for putting glitter in your hair?

    • @EmmaKapotes
      @EmmaKapotes  Před 6 lety +3

      Sofia Oaxaca I use strong hold clear hair gel for my hair! I’ll put the gel in a mixing bowl and then dump the glitter in it then apply that mixture to my hair!

    Just something to watch out for, glitter does contribute to microplactic pollution. There are biodegradable varieties out there that are still affordable
