If it was a four cylinder Odyssey then it was the head going out.
@@littlerhino2006 Odysseys, especially the earlier ones, are reknowned for recalls due to transmission issues, sometimes with the replacement trans failing too. Do a little research, they are probably one of Honda's less reliable products.

My dad owns a 2011 grand caravan, and that thing runs like a swiss watch. Yes, the check engine light is on and yes, it rattles, and yes, it's a Dodge, but by God that is one of the most reliable cars I think he's ever owned.

Never a dull moment with Doug. He is the friend that you hang with and think,' fuck, I wonder what will happen tonight.'' Had a similar friend back in the day, he would hand me the Nokia 3310, and Id dial a random number. He would talk with whomever answered and we would go and meet with these people. He said I had the golden fingers when it came to dialing random numbers.This shit stressed me out, but for him, it was just another day. Good times.

“Towing a trailer and something is going to go wrong” is so true. Just moved across the country with my wife and daughter. Went smooth the entire time till we got to the destination. Tires locked up on the trailer so I checked the wires and chains and nothing was wrong so I checked the tires and the break caliper actually blew up on one of the tires and came through the rim and made it so the tire would not spin

Worked at Dodge Dealer for 2 years. We loved all the used Dodge vans. We had ton with 150-300k miles. Customers would come back to tell us "they needed a van, didn't have a choice and thought might not be reliable, but we love it.'

I know so many people who have had that issue with their Odyssey vans. Thankfully Honda has at least been good about covering it, even long out of warranty normal warranty.

Caravan is wonderful for a car that you don't care about. Pick one up used at around 100k miles and run for another 100k or more before junking it out.
