The Irony is that this is how Vought portrays Homelander. The real way to do it is to know that we are living in Homelander's world, but we should be striving to be Superman. Homelander did not ruin superman, he just made superman better.

Starman is perfect for superman
I will admit that this made me cry, when the world needs him most, he’ll always rise to the occasion. But even if it’s small problems, he’ll still be there, he’s made it clear that he’s no god, he’s just a man doing what’s right, and even if he is from another planet, he may just be the most human of us all

This is my favorite of the Superman starman edits I’ve seen so far
i think we live in an era where anti heroes and villains are more popular than the main character(usually a hero) but it seems so refreshing that james Gunn is doing this approach, a movie that resembles the true core of superman as a character, not some turning to evil bs in an alternative universe(no offense to Snyder, he is a great director but the production was such a mess). I know for some people even myself, thought about superman as a boring character, he was so overpowered that the plot itself sometimes losses interest but watching all these leaks I have a lot of hope to believe that this could possible be the best superman movie so far
