The Monster that almost made me QUIT Monster Hunter World!

- Long ago when I was new to the game. I was enjoying myself after a long day of school. Decided to play some more monster hunter (At this point I was addicted to it). I found myself against a Rathalos and a Diablos. And while Rathalos was hard it was noting I couldn't handle. BUT DIABLOS was something else! At first just a hard monster I needed better gear and practice but no no no was I wrong.... I needed god..

Quick question, What monster almost made you quit if any?
Tigrex, Shrieking Legiana, Alatreon and Fatalis
raging brachydous has been the worst for me
Alatreon was the one for me. Not even online help was enough haha

4 tries on diablos. It was the first monster i struggled with. Currently in iceborn and ive first tried close to every monster in the base game and everything up to the first velkahna repell quest.
Yeah looks like diablos was the wall everyone had to deal with haha but then again I shoot myself in the foot for going greatsword vs something that moves so fast for the first time

When I first crossed over to IB and went back to farm HR weapon parts, I accidently loaded the MR expedition and fought Diablos. ...carted so many times.

I did the same thing when I got high rank haha went to farm diablos off Camara and ended up fighting a high rank with low rank weapons and armor haha let's just say I didn't last long haha (as always 🥲)
Look, its the guy who struggles with monsters! I've always killed the monsters first-try
- me, a lance main who does nothing but parry brainless, taking no risks whatsoever blocking cause i am bad at dodging even tho I've been playing MH for +10 years 😭
At least you're not using a long range weapon 100 feet from the monster haha
As a mr500+ player whos beaten all of the games bosses, seige monsters and temp/arch temp elder dragons multiple times. Honestly diablos is a mfcker 😂. Tempered black diablos honestly still completely fucks me up the moment i dont pay attention. Excluding fatalis i honestly feel like he is harder than most of the boss elder dragon fights 😂
And I just happen to unlock an investigation for a black diablos haha

With MR gears he is possible but still very challenging

Tempered black diablos in guiding lands is way worst if you don't have health boost 3 his charge will one shot you
I would use the shoulder bash with the greatsword but end up stunned after the 3rd one haha
what is more annoying than a diablos is his black cousin
And I'm about to fight one right now so wish me luck haha!
i think i did diablos 2 tries, never fought him ever again after that
Looks like he was more trouble then what he was worth for you haha, I would've done the same if it wasn't for his draw build.
What is the sword from that you used against rathalos?
It's the Tobi longsword. I have a mod that gets rid of the bits on sticks and replaces it with better looking weapons. It's only cosmetic and adds no other buff 👍
