MORE SHOTGUN and SNIPING! Axis Invasion 18 [Sniper Elite 5]

- Another fortnightly session of hunting, sniping, killing and dying for your entertainment! Finally I tackle some invasions on Rough Landing, and equip myself with a Sjogren Inertia (the Swedish shotgun!) customised for fire rate at the expense of accuracy, apparently. Marvelous fun to use though!
Axis Invasion is a fun game mode where we can invade a single player campaign game mode to attempt to kill the campaign player as invader using a sniper rifle, smg or pistol to prevent them from completing their objectives. Stealth and sneaking is key to avoid detection when hunting the player, phones are scattered around the map that can help the player and invader locate each other. Tagging can also be used to track soldiers and their movements.

I would love to play on wolf mountain... And the docks map . Sadly i only get to play on the same 4 or 5 maps... Another thing that pee's me off is when you are sneaking around being dead quiet and suddenly you have to change your underpants because the opponent has completed an objective and there's a massive explosion and you suddenly become deaf and covered in doo doos...

Just bought sniper elite 5 the other day and been binge watching videos on CZcams, watched a few of your invasion videos and thought you were a massive channel, high quality and very entertaining videos, you definitely deserve more than you’ve got man!

Yeah , invader can end game when they killed by jager during that bullet cutscene , jager will be kicked out of game and kill didn’t count.
It used to happen all the time, people rage quitting during the killcam. They patched the game so the menu was inaccessible during the killcam a while back. Does it work again now then? I know that PC players can force a quit with ALT+F4, but I also had a console player rage quit on me recently in my first Kraken Awakes playthroughs video, wasn’t sure if they’d turned their console off or forced a game quit on their console’s OS. If it’s just a case of using the game menu then that means they undid the patch, which seems unfair and probably wasn’t intentional.
The old solution was to turn off the killcams, including the quick ones, which was a bit of a bummer!

At 26:40, I think that is a glitch because I have seen it twice as the invader but it was weeks apart.

Nice! The guy at 23 mins was playing on Cadet and was using the Welgun... there's NO reason to use the Welgun unless you're a new player IMO lol
So true. I don’t think I’ve used the Welgun (or the SREM) since the day the game came out!
@@duckwit85 Kind of a shame, seeing as they're unique? I liked the general handling on both, and the Welgun has great control. But they're both outclassed by almost everything else.
I'm now on 310 kills against axis invaders. Still haven't seen you though.
I've only had time to record once in the last 3 weeks! Lets say, though, if you were to play in the Western Europe region this Friday after 11pm BST (UTC+1) *hint*, I'd say you'd have a decent chance...

@@LukeShort1854 No problem! Just don’t waste them in the church loft, had a guy try to do that last session and I couldn’t even get up there to set them off, invader just gets a ‘mission boundary’ message when approaching the drain pipes!
@Duckwit thanks for the heads up. I don't use the church. It's too restricted. Especially when the enemy is nearly on you on you get the 'Camping detected' message. That's really annoying lol.

Not including dlc missions, what would you lot say is your favourite and least favourite mission to invade?
Secret Weapons is easily my favourite. That map has it all! I think Occupied Residence is my least favourite for no particular reason other than I just don’t like it much!
@@duckwit85 I quite like Occupied Residence unless it’s a case of waiting for Karl to emerge from Moller’s office. Atlantic Wall might be my favourite even though it’s easily the most repetitive. Least favourite is Festung Guernsey by far. Secret Weapons for me is in my top 3. I do love that map, can never say no a battle at the castle

CZcams compresses the video quite a lot, which removes fine detail. The image when I play/record this is much clearer. This is why sometimes when I spot an enemy in the distance I sometimes zoom my footage in on them, at the normal zoom level CZcamss compression pretty much makes them disappear.
Could i ask how do you get tagged in this game
If you are tagged it means you’ve either very closely missed your shot (there is a perk that tags enemies who almost hit you, so if you almost hit the opposing player you get tagged) or the other player is looking at you through binoculars, which tags you for 30 seconds or so. You can also get tagged automatically if you remain in one place for too long. Tags don’t show up for players on authentic difficulty (invaders still can see them, though).
