There are various reasons for failure of Hyderabad Metro
1) Connectivity Issue: I travel to work from Ecil to Mehdipatnam where metro connection is very limited. Hence I chose to travel by road
2) Compartment Issue: Once I had to travel to work place from residence, keeping the Hyderabad traffic in view I chose to travel in metro where the train has only three compartment and was more than full. I have given a mail to the Metro Rail regarding the same and they simply replied saying the connectivity is for every 3 min( where the passenger has to compromise his time)
3) No Airport Metro: Most of the other cities are connected via metro rail, where our city failed
4) Poor Design: Rail intersection in ameerpet is great where as for JBS is worst.
5) Bad Air-conditioning: AC is set to lowest for cost cutting purposes in all routes.

Any government entity will look at sustainability and public usage, any huge investment LIKE Mass transport needs time to grow. Bangalore metro is a fine example now running almost 8 lakh people everyday. It is making profit even after servicing interest for capital loans

Employees working in the metro department feedback should be taken regarding their salaries and promotions etc and especially higher level management bank transactions should be thoroughly scrutunized and their sudden layoff/suspension/resignation reasons should be considered
I think some changes can make metro to profitable. Like below
1. At present LB NAGAR to hayathnagar ki expand chayali. And from myapur to patancharuvu expand chayali so people traveling long distance will increase. Because i use to travel from lakdikapool to patancharuvu i use to prefer bus instead of metro. It was direct bus.
2. As per govt. Plan nagole to rgi airport expansion and lakdikapool to bhel expansion via mahdepatnam.
3. One line from mehdipatnam to rgi airport via athapur. So gachibowli people can also come mehdipatnam instead of nagol. Compare to Brs govt. Plan to connect Via ORR.
I think this will connect to lot of people. And this will increase passengers. Whole project can go different phases but it will help more connectivity for many small working people traveling in public transport.
