I know this method, I use 3cm grid for my portrait works.
Good, yes we can use any measurement according to our comfort level

Useful video 👍 but I do have a doubt, if we are taking a3 sheet how to measure? Should we take the reference in a3 sheet ?
If you take the reference sheet also A3 it will be easy for you . But if you are taking A4 size print and want to draw in A3 size , take 2cm measurement on the reference photo and 3 cm measurement on your drawing sheet
Which type of paper should be used to draw a portrait? Plz let me know
I prefer 200 GSM paper, with little texture.

Hi am not sure if I understood the question correctly,
If you are asking how to draw bigger size artwork than the reference photo, then
You have to double or increase the measurements in your drawing sheet according to how big you want the drawing to be
Per example if you are taking 2cm measurements in your reference photo, you can take 3cm or 4cm measurements in your drawing
