Great video! When I modded my sr80s I also enjoyed snipping the cable. I notice the plastic ones are much easier to get into fortunately.

      Yes, I did a pair of SR80 yesterday ( video to come ) - much easier ;)

I think we are fully booked up until June but it is normally the kind of thing we can do

Check out Formlabs, you can 3D print metal parts now.

Yes, We have been looking into markforged and formlabs for printing metal parts but it is still a little too expensive for our little workshop but we are hopefully getting an SLS printer soon and maybe a CNC milling machine after that

I watched the cable build and found it interesting, also needed a quick nap. :-) I own three of your cables, I think they offer good ergonomics at a good price. I have modified a few cables over the past few years, mainly swapping connectors but I've never built one from scratch. I've stretched head-shrink tube using that method too, perhaps if heat shrinks the tube putting it in the freezer will expand it, who knows, I've never tried it though.
Do you make adaptors? I need a 1/4" male to 4-pin XLR female, say 10-15cm long.

Lol - I genuinely was not expecting anyone to watch that far :)
Yes we sell adapters but that is also an ideal DIY job as both of those connectors are pretty easy to solder

@@CustomCans OK a DIY job sounds like a little project I can probably tackle myself. I've found the plugs but the wire is proving to be a bit of a challenge. The best option I've come up with so far is to cut up one of my other headphone cables.

@@st200ol Star Quad cable is normally easy to come by and sensibly priced. It is designed for microphones but would work well

Hi. Yes we have a workshop in the UK that mods headphone but we are probably not going to to take any more mods in until after locdown as we are a bit under staffed at the moment
