She does not translate songs. She writes lyrics with the same meaning in both languages and the same musical arrangement for both. A translation would not make sense !

dude, we're about the same age, how have you not heard this before? this was HUGE. back then, you could literally hear this song from east,west,north and south all at once, no matter where you stood. :D it's strange how much of enormous hits Shakira has but her Billboard peaks are so low.
I'd suggest for you to try "Hot Like Fire" by Aaliyah, the video is one of her best, choreo as well. but, make sure to watch the one that's on AALIYAHHDTV channel, they have most of her videos in great quality.
