Currently in Texas without power. Some of the homes around here have an indoor temperature of 40 degrees because power has been out almost 24 hours. Pipes are bursting all over the place so no power and no running water. It’s really bad.
No flickers?
Damn what part of Texas are you from ? ..I’m from Fort Worth and it bad too but I still got electricity but water kinda coming out slow from the sink and showers
oh no! that’s awful. I hope you guys get power back soon!

Now I ask why can't we open all the mega churches & sport stadiums in Texas to help people. I don't understand why it's so hard to help people in need.

Plumbers are going to in high demand for weeks. That happened once here in Southern Arizona. People were fighting in hardware stores over the last plumbing supplies. Good luck over there!!
@Skip ads They do in places where they don't insulate their pipes where normally it's not needed.
Open faucets and allow a slow trickle from them. It will help to keep the pipes intact by letting water flow and not freeze as quickly. Good luck

Welcome to the north, where this is normal this time a year!
President Biden needs to call that governor and tell him he needs to do a better job.
From a Canadian, please don't drive if you don't have to. Many may already know this, but regular tires aren't designed for and don't work properly in low temperatures. If your car gets stuck, don't gun it to try to get out, try to clear the snow and use the "rocking" method instead. To help delay pipes bursting, try to let your faucets drip (this may include showers, shop sinks, etc). This doesn't prevent pipes freezing, but it helps as moving water freezes slower than stagnant water.

"Turn on the oven to 500°, open the oven door and just lay out some blankets and camp in front of it. "
If your oven is gas, that's a good way to die of carbon monoxide poisoning.
If your oven is electric, you should be using a space heater instead. Electric ovens are not designed to be used as a heater.
This morning, I woke up and stretched my bones and said to myself 'What are you dallying for? Invest again!'
Thank you bitcoinsamurai
I cashed out yesterday and I am going again 💪
I'm glad I'm in California 78 degree all week praying for Texas community 🙏
The problem is that most of Texas is on its own power grid, while Missouri to Maine share one and Kansas to California share. There is no way to divert excess power from other areas to Texas. And this is just a preview of what could happen if we don't update the easily hackable grids.
People in Texas: This is horrible!
People in Minnesota: 🙄
Texas didn't want to do what anyone up north does to protect themselves from snow.
@reyalsregnava No we arent used to this. We arent use to this type of weather
@@laurynladybug6984 also the building in south are not made for snow I know they can deal with hail but snow in very cold temperatures it not made with.
It's nasty af down here in Southeast Texas. Thank God we still have power. Stay inside , warm and safe everyone. #PeaceNLove
-15 degrees in northern Minnesota right now, it was -36 last night.
@@wolfman515 It's currently 25 but feels like 13. It's NEVER been this cold here in my entire 47 years. We've decided to only warm the rooms we are constantly occupying because of rolling blackouts.
@@wolfman515 I don't know how you all can do that type of cold. 😱
@@MsAngie-he5uv you get used to it, where we have issues is with excessive heat. Share blankets, the more body heat under a blanket the better, squish together like sardines.
@@wolfman515 I'm single and live with my 23yo son...he gets on my last nerve. This heating blanket will have to suffice. Lol
We are here for you... #Atlanta
Took my morning walk yesterday; it was -21 degress with the windchill in TULSA, OKLAHOMA! This morning wasn't so bad since it was only -13; I could actually feel my face ... sorta.
It looks like deregulation has failed once again.
Explain? When you know for a fact it was green energy that let you down!
@@austindenotter19 It was deregulation of the energy sector NOT green energy.
@@austindenotter19 majority of energy is supplied by fossil fuels
Freezer/refrigerator foods in homes, hospitals, restaurants, schools....gone.
Outdoors is your freezer in those conditions. Put the stuff in the trunk of your car outside or a cooler.
@@googleuser868 Millions of peoples food stored outside...we're going backwards, but whatever.
In Huancayo, Peru. People don't have to have refrigerators. The climate there is cold, They simply leave cold items on shelves.
Usual weather where I live, we have a lot of snow and -19C temperature - nothing collapsed :) winter tires would prevent mayhem on the roads, I'm driving fine
it's so weird because in central new york some of these scenes are nothing because we're used to it and are prepared
