    Great watch! I own the 2008 version and have had no issues with bracelet and case wobble. I removed the divers extension link and it fits perfectly. This piece to me is the apex of Rolex tool watch design at its best.

    I agree, the best Rolex ever made

    • @MrNegroni
      @MrNegroni  Před 3 lety

      Yeah agree, and to be honest I can’t see Rolex discontinuing the deepsea. Why would they give up their technologically advanced watch?🤷‍♂️

  • @rechtsanwaltegramsfiebig3297

    I have the first version an the regulation of the claps is the same. Fantastic watch.

    This watch is fantastic; perhaps the most technically and horologically exquisite diver ever made. But it’s big and bulky. If only Rolex made a diver, with helium escape valve, that is 2mm thinner, 1mm smaller in case diameter, lighter, and better proportioned for daily wear....

    Fantastic watch👍 I have the original Black dial version Mk1 , the one which JC actually wore in his descent. It’s amazing how many CZcamsrs think he wore the blue and black version. Also Paul Thorpe started the discontinuation rumour, it will not be discontinued

    Really nice piece. A desirable watch now but I really do think that's it an absolutely sleeper that will become very collectable once it's inevitably discontinued. Congratulations!

    • @bigmacdaddy1234
      @bigmacdaddy1234 Před 3 lety +1

      A sleeper? Everybody is overcharging for it and you can't get it without paying a premium. Nothing about this is a sleeper.

    • @MrNegroni
      @MrNegroni  Před 3 lety

      Yeah if you look at the historical Rolex dials that were unusual just like the deepsea is then they ended up very collectible.

    • @tobybaker4367
      @tobybaker4367 Před 3 lety

      @@bigmacdaddy1234 Right, I meant in a relative sense of current percent premium grey market versus list considering where it could go if/when discontinued.

  • @Iceberqe
    @Iceberqe Před 3 lety +1

    Are you gonna keep both Rolex watches? Your thoughts are very interesting as i went with my watches the opposite way. I started with the big 44/45 mm ones and i went down to a 36mm Explorer. It's so light and comfortable, i don't see myself going back to an automatic that's over 42mm, they're just too heavy and chunky for my taste.

    • @MrNegroni
      @MrNegroni  Před 3 lety

      Yeah I’ll definitely keep both these in my collection. The sea-dweller and submariners are daily wears and the deepsea a more occasional rotation.

  • @Matt-javaserverpages
    @Matt-javaserverpages Před 3 lety +3

    Great review of a great watch, I have the 2021 non Deep-Blue (not a fan of JC really) which hasn't got the green 'DEEPSEA" (it's in white like the rest of the text) or the blue/black (not gradient, just black) dial and I love it and wear it everyday. A big wrist presence and you have to be careful not to bang it into door frames (house would shake :-) ) or the such but so far I haven't.

      I have one . It is big , bad and in your face awesome ! You gotta be the right person to pull it off and not be afraid of having people constantly ask you about your amazing watch . Submarinas are everywhere but you never see another one of these. Often I have to go into the whole history of the watch .
