- The Stage 2 is Yakima's latest premium level rack (both in build quality and function) and we've found that it is absolutely loaded with ultra user-friendly features. What do we like about this rack so much? Here are it's key highlights:
Fits pretty much any style of bike
Payload of 27.2kg per bike (on road)
Can carry four bikes with the addition of a StageTwo +2 sold separately
A tiered architecture to minimise issues with bike spacing
Convenient remote tilt lever for easy rear of car access
Tilts forward with bikes loaded for rear car access
Tool-free locking SpeedKnob for secure and simple installation and removal
Fits 16” to 29” wheel sizes and tyres up to 3.25” wide and up to 5" wide with the StageTwo Fat Bike Kit (Sold Separately)
Offset Trays for extra bike to bike clearance
Suitable for off-road, rated to 16.3 kg per bike (2 bike capacity)
Available in two colours: Anthracite and Vapor
Nice. Not a bad price too
how tall from the center of the stinger, is the furthers out bike? Preferably the 4th bike out?
You really should review the Australian made ISI Bike rack , a true off road bike rack , bikes certainly don't rattle around like that rack.
For the one installed on your car in the video is the license plate visible enough not to need an extra plate accessory?
The plates locking it into position are quite thin. I would skip this in favor of the 1up Super Duty .
They thought of everything except where to put a license plate.
The ratchet arm that holds the one of the tires down comes loose, pain in the butt.
Old design and features. This type of rack has been out for a couple of years now. Kuat Piston Pro X is still the best rack out.
This style of holder doesn't work well with front fenders. For that reason alone I wouldn't say this is the best rack.
I hope they sponsered you for this, because Yakima racks suck
