    The reason the visualization of the universe kinda looks like a sun is that it shows the microwave background radiation, which is so old that it is near the "edge" of the observable universe.

    The fact that she’s heard of some basic things in astrophysics is super cool and impressive because she’s an attractive woman. I know a lot about this topic and have even taught myself some fairly specialist math, but I’m a gross man with a beard so it doesn’t count😆😂

    • @milkjr8883
      @milkjr8883 Před 3 lety +4

      It's even scarier than a black hole, it's an extremely empty gargantuan plot of space that should be filled with hundreds of thousands if not millions of galaxies... But there's barely any at all...

    • @teamtaka7
      @teamtaka7 Před 3 lety +1

      Milk Jr damn now I'm more interested in it lol actually after seeing images I doubt it's completely empty, it just has way less galaxies etc. that made it appear empty.

    The supermassive blackhole at the center of our Milkyway galaxy is Sagitarius A*. It is not included here because, while massive, for a video on how big things in the universe can get, it is rather small in size.
    Sagitarius A* has a mass of approximately 4 million Solar masses. However, its appropriate diameter is only 44,000,000 km or just under 31.5 Solar radii. If Sagitarius A* were in this video, it would be inbetween the stars Arctutus and Rigel.
    In contrast, Ton 618 earns its place on the list as not merely a supermassive blackhole, but an ultramassive blackhole. Ton 618 has an event horizon 400 billion km in diameter or just over 89 × the diameter of Neptune's orbit due to having a mass of 66 billion solar masses, making it the largest known blackhole ever discovered. This record may be due to that fact that we have not yet observed a theorized class of black hole known as a stupendously large black hole. A stupendously large black holes would have a mass exceeding 100 billion solar masses, possibly topping 1 trillion solar masses.

    • @D.o.l.l.a.r.s
      @D.o.l.l.a.r.s Před 2 lety

      Sagitarius A is even smaller than earth's orbit around the sun. But it's incredible how it a small black hole like it holds a massive Galaxy.

    Too bad they just announced another delay. Telescope's ready, but the rocket isn't, it seems.
