  • Hello,
I was coming back home and I got surprised. Whole street was flooded. The reason was trees leaves, strong wind 32m/s and frost 2 days ago. So draining holes was not able su suck all the water and it clogged. Weather conditions was not the best, but I decided to drain it. I didn't have right tools for it, but anyway I have done my job and street eventually left without water ;)
    P.S.
    Sorry for video quality!

City needs to take a vertical piece of wrapped rubber and place that near where the drain is. The rubber means that if someone hits it, the rubber will just bend. The wrapper can be white plastic (or more rubber) with appropriate colors on it according to the city code. This way you have a 2-3 foot tall obvious sign where the drain is located, instead of needing a stick and walking along the sidewalk

Thank you for bringing us this interesting video, you dealt with this problem very efficiently. It is a pity that the authorities had not put two drains here as it is collecting a lot of water. It was great that you had removed the leaves here. The authorities cannot be everywhere and the leaves can drop in a very short space of time so they are not always able to clear them up in time.
