As someone who spent time almost every summer for 25 years, there is a better, free boat launch just south of The Shores motel. It's almost in your drone shot at 3:35. Just a little way past that marina. I've done the crown lands camping (not Finlayson) on a seadoo spark. It's impossible to do alone and stay dry. If you have 2 people, one can stay dry. One hops to shore when you get close and they catch the gear you toss. How to tie a seadoo to Temagami's rocky shores and steep drop offs: Fill a sandbag anchor with rocks. Hang it off the back with as much rope as you can. drop it far from shore, so it's dangling. Approach shore slowly and into the expected winds until it seems to be dragging, then stop. Swim the bow line to shore, or throw it to a partner, secure to a tree or use a climbers cam anchor in a crack in the rock. Tie that shore line to the bow. The shore rope will keep it secure, the bag of rocks will resist being dragged up the drop off keeping you from blowing into the rocks. Pull in the bow line to get the best tension on the stern one. If it's really windy, and it will be pushing the ski broadside, you can put both on the front. In a pinch, punky, half rotten logs make good temporary fenders against the rocks. Look for soft wood, cedar, pine, fir. Balsam works too, but it will leave a sticky mess. Avoid birch and maple unless they are a bit rotten. Knock off any protuberances with a hatchet, tie up between 2 trees with your old log wedged in between the hull and rocks. They make a mess, your gelcoat will not be unscathed, but it beats that Canadian Shield granite. If you want to beach it, you're looking for "sandy inlet" on the map. Northern Arm IIRC. Fun Fact: The cottages are on the islands, not the mainland... all of them... it's an old fire prevention tactic so if your cottage catches fire, hopefully it is limited to the island. If I still had mine seadoo, I'd offer to join you and show you what I know.
Thankyou Kevin for all the info. I do have an anchor system but I have not tested it. It’s similar to what you are describing. I need to test it in daylight before I attempt to it overnight. I was told that up on the north end of the lake there are dome sandy beaches. I want to go back this summer.

Thanks in part to you with bring our seadoo switch (compact) to different places in Ontario. Most of our riding is on Lake Nipissing, we normally launch in Lavigne. it is a government dock (free) and the parking is also free. If you are interested at exploring Lake Nipissing we could help you with your adventure. I think you would enjoy the West Arm area of the Lake.
I really want to get out on Nipissing. Had plans earlier to go but the weather changed. I looked up Lavigne. It looks great. Thanks. Could explore the Wrst arm and the down towardsDokis and the French river. I suppose you need a camping permit for the park. Not sure outside the park if there is anything.
@@bobsudeyko4088 Hi Bob, there are a few islands with sandy shores and some you don"t need a permit. My son and I took our fishpro two years ago near the canoe past channel which is right across Sandy Ilsand It was a perfect place for seadoos.

Hi Bob, it was only 4deg this morning in Bay of Islands NZ, so we gave away any idea of going on ski today, so we did the next best thing and sat down with a coffee and watched your video😅. Do you not have a transducer on your Garmin, If you have a transducer fitted, you can set the depth you want the alarm to go off at, when it gets suddenly shallow.
No there is no transducer On the Garmin. Seadoo has a depth indicator. I was just payed my to much attention to video stuff and not enough to the water I was in. Slow speed no big deal. Only 4 degrees. That’s cool. Your summers coming. Thanks for watching.
Temagami is a great lake to enjoy on your sea doo. I spent a few days out there this summer as well. Those seagulls must chase everyone around. They chased us around for a while and I didn't even notice until I heard it squawking behind us. they're probably upset at people chasing them around... :(. A few things to note. Finlayson PP is a great place to stay. They have fine amenities, 2 beaches, and as you see a good boat launch and dock area. You can camp and park your sea doo out on the lake, but there might only be a couple of spots with a sandy beach to do so...and you can't always count on them being available. Anyone looking to enjoy the area please be aware that this is a large body of water so make sure to pick your days, bring a map, and tell someone where you're going. Boat safe all.
Good points. I was told after I got off the lake that way up on the northern end there are some sandy beaches. I did not get up that far to see them. In a day I only covered about half of the lake
Beautiful place to explore. Very remote and peaceful. One thing I would be concerned about is that very remoteness, though. Is there some kind of rescue service on the lake? Much of the video you seem to be very isolated. Did you have a rescue plan? Thanks for sharing as always. Stay safe out there.
For camping I would consider anchoring my Seadoo in a few feet of water. If worried you could also tether it off to a tree or two with longer rope. The lake looked beautiful but I’m biased being from northern Ontario.

I have a Go Pro Max 360. I have used it in many of my videos. I try yo use it sparingly as it can be overused. It ha it’s place and can give a very cool perspective.

The idea that people are allowed to have a cabin on every island and shoreline destroys the wilderness, and then these people think that they own the shore line because they have a dock on it really makes me mad, I have stopped and got onto some ones dock and they come out screaming, I tell them to go to hell because their dock is on public waters and attached to public shore line, they try to argue but I don't care, I simply tell them to move it off the public beach then.

You take your chances a bit when you are planning a trip more than 48 hours in advance. Mostly about the wind with a Seadoo.

I carry an emergency air horn and a vhf radio. No cell service out there.

You are right. They don’t own the water. I usually pick a dock where no one is present just to avoid confrontation.
