Thanks for this video. I find most machine shops don’t have micro polish machines. It seems they use those belts & a fairly aggressive grit. Is this micro polish the missing step? And what is the grit of this micro polish machine? Can you over polish (too smooth)?
@@xESPplayer500x appears that you don't have the experience to know what's going on! And you didn't notice that the crankshaft is in the machine backwards, unless it's a reverse rotation marine engine, but if it's a clockwise rotation, this polishing will eat up the bearings, here is a test for you.(if) you built a engine before?? By hand spin the crankshaft in both directions and you will notice that it tends to grab in one of the directions! Cutting or polishing will put a directional grain like a piece of wood.
thats a new technology, the first time Ive seen it. I look forward to hearing the benifits of a micropolished crank since I'm old school.
I got my shaft polished last night.

If you want things done right you need to do it yourself.

Excellent video! I am using this as reference for my CADD degree program with Minnesota State College Southeast Technical (Winona campus).
Former SRC Auto assembler here. Hope theyre not working you to death over there.
Get your crank polished.
That's a lot of expensive and unnecessary crap when a high speed hand held micro polisher will do a better job.
Its not unnecessary, its how you get 250k miles out of an engine
