    The best thing about Drytron is just how flexible it is with what Rituals you can jam into it and still rock and roll. If you want to go the Herald route you can replace this Ashes with the little Heralds to get Effect/Trap negation even if your Ultimate gets sacked, and can run a second/third Majiun for more Fairy searcher/pitch material. Amorphage Ritual can delay your opponent a turn and shut off a bunch of annoying Fusion/XYZ/Synchro effects, the Red Eyes ritual is a simple destruction you can trigger, the Shinobirds are mass removal and token generators, and Cyber Angel Vrash is a Extra Deck nuke and double attacker. Heck, that new Ritual monster Dragma got is a Extra Deck rip for your opponent of your choice and a Extra Foolish for yourself, and its negative effect is non-existent when the Drytons can remove it from the field to summon themselves.
    Point is, Drytons are a heck of archtype for Rituals, and even though they may not be the next Nekroz for some I am quite eager to see what people can get up to with this cosmic machines and big sis Betnen!

      This is just a silly complaint that people always make about these kinds of decks. The lists are made to be as competitive as possible, and if the drytron bosses hurt the consistency of the deck more than they help the deck win, it doesn’t make sense to run it just because “it’s the monster you’re supposed to summon “

    • @anonjohn9760
      @anonjohn9760 Před 3 lety +7

      @@DerVasto To an extent, I agree with ya mate. Both of the Dryton Bosses are quite potent is wielded correctly, and the first one serve as decent disruption during your opponent's turn. The problem with them, however, is that using their effects drains you of resources for following turns and that it takes at least 2 mats. to summon them, which gimps other plays unless you open pretty good. They also have pretty poor protection and other Rituals have destruction/nuke effects that are not nearly as costly, so overall while they are not unplayable or bad they are not the best choice if you are trying to win or make comeback victories.
      Still, nothing stopping you or anyone else from playing them despite that fact. Deck has plenty of room for tech choices, and could even to afford to run more than 40 cards due to how easy it is to search everything out in the deck. Up to the individual in the end, really!

    Honestly, you played the deck fairly well. Just one tip maybe for further improvement: You could play 1 megalith och, 1 more phul + 1 soul of purity and light instead Chaos Valkyria and the megalith combo could be Summon Phul, use off to add Benten from gy (Phul's LV=6), eff Phul ss ophiel from deck using benten, eff benten, search soul of purity and light OR Manju if you play Magician of Black Chaos MAX, which leads to -> eff ophiel, search och, eff ophiel summon och, ns Manju, search MAX, and you are set to summon MAX on your opponent's turn. The other combo, with soul of purity and light leads to the summon of Beatrice with phul and soul (both lv 6 now), to damp any Drytron and go on from there. Just some options, the deck has limitless, as you said Benten is ban worthy and the deck, if played correctly, can play through at least 2-3 interruptions. Only problem for this deck is Calamities, unfortunately.

      I think the fact that both tsuk and yata were so absurdly good for their times, being banned and limited respectively and the fact that they're playable, if barely, today (in the form of shinobirds) means that gemini are worse.
      The best gemini monster was effectively just a 1900 vanilla, while il blud and gigaplant were good in fewer decks and in far smaller of a time frame than even dark dust spirit.
      Edit: Also Amano Iwato. I forgot that one.

    • @esseubot
      @esseubot Před 3 lety

      It's been like this for a while and It leaves me a bit upset. Usually a new archetype comes out with little restrictions what results in another, older card getting the ban. While it still hasn't affected me it is quite scary to think that even your off-meta archetype decks can end up getting a hit because of bad card design on the new archetypes.
      I hope you can still shine bright with Cyber Angels! I never read them so I have no idea what the archetype does.

    • @xan1242
      @xan1242 Před 3 lety +1

      @@esseubot Thank you for kind words!
      I know it's been like this in the game for a while now... Especially with some (vanilla) tuners getting limited and outright banned (both in TCG and Duel Links).
      If you're interested, some info on Cyber Angels:
      Well they aren't particularly complex, but can require complex interactions with your own deck.
      Most important effects include Benten searches, Idaten boosts by 1000, Dakini removes 1 monster without targeting, Izana same for backrow, Natasha takes control of monsters and Vrash is big and destroys extra deck monsters.
      And as MBT said, since Benten isn't a once per turn effect it's broken in some other decks like Drytrons. But this "broken" effect isn't so broken in the archetype she belongs in. It is actually super necessary because Ritual decks aren't the most consistent...

    • @esseubot
      @esseubot Před 3 lety

      @@xan1242 Thanks for the rundown on cyber angels! And I think I understand what you mean with Benten, Cyber Angels sound, to me, like a deck that consists around its toolbox a lot, so searching for the correct Cyber Angel to solve a problem is very important.
      Thanks again!
