Aldo Nova's first 2 albums are amazing, especially the first album, those guitar solos on the songs are amazingly melodic and just blow my away.

Aldo is a musical genius. He does just about everything with music. He’s basically a sound engineer, who can play multiple instruments, and sings and writes. How good of a songwriter you ask? I don’t know, let’s just say he wrote songs for many singers, like Celine Dion, and has a Grammy you see in this video for it.

Aldo Nova was my absolute favorite album in the early 80s and set the stage for incredible rock music for an entire decade. These songs have stood the test of time and have even outlasted much later music.

Aldo was one of the openers for Journey in 1982, at the Rose Bowl. Thankfully I was there. He was great. Recreated the album sound spot on. I'm pretty sure Journey used their footage from this show for the "Send Her My Love" video. 💚🎸

I was busy attending every tour and show that came to Spokane Wa during those years and caught Sammy and BOC but never crossed paths with Aldo,,, big bummer!!
My favorite show in 83 was Def Leppard’s Pyromania,,, was a huge High N Dry fan in high school!
Still have all my vinyl too, great time capsule from 1977-90, my sons inheritance 😂

@@shizzle7642 That is simply Awesome that you caught All those shows in the 80's , what an Awesome era of music !! I also saw many shows in Seattle and Tacoma. I saw Robert Plant, Dio, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and a few other shows, Good Times, Great memories !! 🎸 Seattle is such a Rockin' city.. The closest I got to Spokane was Yakima, we did a lot of training there.. Love the Pacific Northwest 💖 Def Leppard is a great band, Vivien Campbell is a great guitarist, he was with Dio when I saw them . I actually brought my daughter to see them here in New Hampshire in 2004 , she was just 15, she loved the show ! I also brought her to see VH earlier that summer.. Our kids grew up hearing this music, I'm so happy they did ! My daughter likes some of the music of today, but Loves the music of the 60's, 70's , 80's and early 90's 💥👍🎸 That is So Cool that you still have all that original vinyl , that Will Be an Awesome Inheritance for your son, Love it !! 😃 Maybe he can be a retro DJ 😜? Hey you never know, that could be a Big Hit some day ? Peace and Happiness To You ✌💖 I had a Vivid dream years ago of an Incredible Concert on the Other Side/ Heaven , I Believe It's True 💥👍🎸🔥💖 Take Care !
      Kindly, Kevin

I grew up i the music industry and man it is filled with hope, dreams, filth, good times, and every vice that comes from all sides. But listening to this little Italian and how he sat in a room thinking about tape time and how many mic`s to place at the right spot, brought it all down to earth. But I had to shake my head and listen to it again to understand its concept.

Back in 198-82, I was a teenager and when a girlfriend got MTV with their cable install and I saw/heard Fantasy video, I went and figured out that the cable company just removed a filter on their cable, up on a pole in the alley because in our alley the pole had a silver box (filter) in-between our cable and the house. So I climbed the pole and removed the silver box, took it in the garage and tore it apart. I gutted it and put a spiral notebook wire in it and replaced the guts (electronic) in the silver box (filter). Then I put bubblegum in it all around the spiral cord so it would not move when I screwed it back on our cable. It worked! I now had Free MTV and nobody knew, then I waited for Aldo Nova's video to play and knew this was the future of rock sound, even his video was way ahead of the times. The way he jumped in right with his guitar, that was amazing not to mention the whole guitar turned laser gun, banging in the door with the hit of the drums. Nobody back then had anything like Aldo. It was his video, his sound and that guitar that I seen at my girlfriends home that made me have to find a way to get that on our TV. Those were the days. Then having a super cool mom that let my friends come over and watch MTV yeah, it made me a little more popular in fact I made other fake cable boxes so other friends could have free MTV. So cool to see Aldo after so many many years thanks for the video Jeremy !

Aldo fell asleep on my lap in the lexington queen in rapongi district tokyo Japan. Although it was a "cuddly" experience, I went to get up and several people on his crew warned me NOT to get up. I said WTF? They said he would either fight, or barf all over the place. "I said that's ridiculous. I have been talking to him all night" Eh..... I was wrong. I got up and he stood up.... and looked around.... he did not fight me or anyone else. But..................... and mind you the couches are really nice in the back lounge. Lets just say the back louge was annihilated. OMG Anyways, back in the day, we were a bit crazy and did pretty much turn the Lexington upside down. Now for the good part. Aldo is a badass and one hell of an Artist and producer. He will always be relevant.

There's always seems to be that 1 negative person . Moving past that negative dude. I always feel the need to Comment on Aldo Nova Music and Videos Because for Some God only knows the reason (perhaps it is what some say is or did say he was difficult to work with.... bla bla bla) What i find so difficult to grasp is The Extremely Slow Progression of People Understanding A Genius. To even grasp what the talent of Mr.Aldo Nova has and I'm sure he's even better today (Most things get better with Age) . Aldo Nova Never Ever Got Even a Fraction of The Attention He Shouk of Received. Now Anyone that has Actually Listened to Aldo Nova's First "Self Debut" Album , " Aldo Nova " From Songs Like Fantasy, to Hot Love , Fooling Yourself, Ball and Chain etc.. And Didn't Say "Wow"...!!! This guy is Fucking Awesome...!!!! Then go tell all your friends, wear out The Cassett or 2 or 3.. of them lol. Or it goes missing.. ah ha.. The Music he played on his Album Aldo Nova like I previously mentioned, It reached in grab you by your fkn spine... it literally latched on to you because It Was Powerful... Explosive, in Your Face Shredding Guitar and A Sound Nobody had done yet.. Not Like This. I mean I became an Instant fan of The Real American Idol.. haha Billy Idol and so on. But Aldo Was Something Soul Rocking... It wasn't just the connection to the Lyrics , and how it felt that he was singing about you.. it was more Than that. I Honestly think he was Ahead of his time.. I mean listen to those songs I mentioned then imagine if you can. Imagine living in 1981., and He was ahead of his time by a fkn decade or two. I always felt that he was Short Changed... he was taking Advantage of I believe. I mean he comes from Montreal (Hello from Your Neighbors from the South of Ya ... Maine Here) He goes to N.Y. gets a record deal. He tops the charts with Fantasy at I think was #23 all round top. I mean Seriously. I recall he was played quite a bit at first.. then the radio stations started playing less and less of., I recall calling as requesting Aldo Nova Fantasy or something and the D.J. Said to me.. "We're Not Really Supposed to Play Aldo Nova to Much".. I was like WTF...?? Why Not..?? He said something along I don't know, I just do what I'm told. I remember asking even if I call and Ask you to play it.. he said yes. He may have pissed people off or he didn't want to be a slave to the industry.. idk..?? But this Man is a Legend. A Gifted Man thats bn on so many albums of others as a song writer, producer or something . That Friends is Impressive. I don't know anything about his new stuff but I know as I have gotten older, I know that this man is a Genius and whatever he Writes or plays... We All Should Listen. Because whatever Mr.Nova has to say is worth listening too. @AldoNova Hey Man If you happen to read this I just want to Say Thank You from the Heart Friend for Bringing Years of Music I got to Tock Too and Share wth Friends. Thank You Aldo Nova . Keep doing what you do brother. P.S. If your ever in Western Maine.. Stop by, Doors always open. 😀

Could be “tipsy” but Not for me to judge. Many artist from that day played as hard as they worked and it can show as they get older . Listen to any current Ace interviews as example of one artist . Ace is sober and has been for some time and he sounds tipsy. As mentioned not for me to judge either way. I appreciate his work and many songs / artists wouldnt be as regarded without Aldo no matter “tipsy” or not.
