Immortal North Korean Propaganda Masterpiece - "수령님을 따라 천만리 당을 따라 천만리" (Reunification)
Vložit
- čas přidán 18. 04. 2018
- Also known as "reunification" due to a mistranslation of the title, "Millions of Miles Following the Leader, Following the Party" is the best North Korean propaganda song, in my opinion.
The lyrics are not official and is not translated by some who is a native speaker of korean. If you are korean, however, feel free to point out some translation mistakes, however it is impossible to change the lyrics directly into the video :P - Hudba
I swear every North Korean song is titled like "한 (we will valiantly follow the glorious Eternal Leader's grand revolutionary tidal wave like a loyal school of fish in the wide river)" and then it's the most beautiful melody you've ever heard
FAX THO
Yeah I swear it's always songs that are named "We will follow supreme leader into the nearest wendy's and make him annoyed as he has to pay for over millions of burgers and fries" and then it's so calming or epic.
Literally, it’s always something like “Let the people’s army of liberation follow and protect the great leadership of the revolution as our valiant and brave soldiers defend the motherland like a wall of concrete and steel!” Then it’s just the most absolutely soul fulfilling, ear melting, confidence boosting, determination filled piece of music you will ever hear in a millions lifetimes
Am I the only person completely opposed to Marxist Leninism especially the necrotic Juche none-sense who lives literally every piece of art they put out. I swear to God I'm not a communist (at least not one they'd recognize) but I wake up every day to the KCTV start up sequence.
Meanwhile everyone is starving
if the koreas ever unify, let the northerners take care of the music from then on

@@hubert5016 true, but I meant the socialist spirit is gone, and renders the songs lesser for it.
How exactly can one misstranslate "Millions of Miles following the Leader, following the Party" into "reunification"?
I've seen worse to be honest
plus it's probably localization
Freudian slip?
Maybe the translation error lead to two different songs getting mixed up, or a confusion about whether the last line was part of the song or the title?

Check it and you'll see it
Alot of soviet songs have expectedly quite a bit of imperial influence, as a lot of imperial composers went on to compose for the soviets after the civil war.

백전백승의 대오는 나간다

korean roughly translates to "Follow the leader ten million miles Follow the party ten million miles"
To those who don’t know why the party emblem is everywhere in socialist states, it’s because socialists see the party as the seat of the revolution, and with strong democracy the part is a powerful extension of the peoples collective will made physical.
