Seeed Studio has just dropped the latest addition to their tiny but strong XIAO series - the XIAO ESP32C6, and it's a game-changer!
This tiny powerhouse is not only cost-effective but comes with the mighty ESP32-C6 chip from Espressif Systems. We are talking about strong wireless connections made specifically for smart home devices that follow the Matter standard. This microcontroller unit has everything you need, like WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5, and Thread/Zigbee. And true to the XIAO legacy, it's tiny enough to fit into small spaces in your projects. And it keeps your data safe with built-in encryption as secure as Fort Knox.
Its built on two 32-bit RISC-V processors, with a high-performance (HP) processor with running up to 160 MHz, and a low-power (LP) 32-bit RISC-V processor, which can be clocked up to 20 MHz. Ya you can use multiple pins at the same time if you need to monitor and control different sensors and output devices.

G'day, I am wondering if it can do Speech to Text, and how small can it really get? I saw the XIAO Esp32 being tiny.
I have a project that requires wireless, real-time Speech to Text capabilities, and 4 programmable buttons on it... in the smallest form factor possible... Max one index finger size.
Do you reckon it can be done with Esp32's or am I better off looking somewhere else?

The wlan is very unstable!! Looses contact or crashes (hung up) even a few meters next to my fritzbox.
You can solve the hung up issue by using a watchdog timer.
I designed a development board for it, I will do all my tests.

No. It has an onboard ceramic antenna.

I'm thinking to buy a chip to learn about microcontrollers , I want something that is capable enough to make small Robots that can do simple task and rc cars and planes and drones, will this chup be good for that application
You will need a controller with more gpios. I have added an esp32 board that comes with more gpios, check the recommended esp32 controller board in the Amazon products links. I have written recommended with that board.
So the only downside is the less number of gpios pins in this board , right ?
Also by no means this can be used to make things I have mentioned above ?
