C'était une histoire merveilleuse. C'est une belle leçon à apprendre dans la vie, en plus de la langue.

Perfect! I had studied French before and because I was in an English speaking country, I forgot it. Now this type of practice is the best for me.

I find this type of practice very beneficial for understanding how French is used in context, rather than just from books and structured lessons. Its also enjoyable and the pictures help with memory recall. Très bon travail!

@@yogagita2365 What matters here is "Passé Simple" in French. That is bookish. Not in use in everyday life.

There used to be way back in the 70s called disc cortina, I learned a lot from the short time I listened to the lessons, this is way better because if you can hear it’s ok but if you can’t read that’s way different, I like this channel very instructive with stories and the three parts of the lessons 👍🏼😉

I would really like this content if the speaker would read the line twice during the translation.
    First time: regular speed
    Second time: slower speed
This will really help the listener grasp what is being said and it is also repetition, which has been proven to help let the language stick in the brain.
Other than that, good content !! 👍

Do French people use passé simple?
Even though the passé simple is a common French verb tense, used even in books for very young French children, it is usually not taught to foreigners until advanced French classes.

Why is the American bloke speaking in that tone ? I'm trying to learn French, I'm not on my death bed. Good lesson for language and life though. I'll certainly listen to more.....and if I do get some bad news, I'll be sure to contact the narrator so he can soothe me into the afterlife.
