    Sweden has also become this extreme during the latest 20 years due to neoliberalism. Sweden and Chile is the two countries with most liberal/private owned schools in the world which in turn have created lot's of segregation and problems with equal oppertunties. The left block here in Sweden is thankfully slowy starting to change that for the better now.

      No it isn't insanity. In a pure capitalist society if you want to eat you have to give something back, whether it be goods or services. The welfare state is basically "I'm here give me free shit". It's selfish and ultimately keeps people poor. Opportunities are better than handouts.

    • @SuperOctimusprime
      @SuperOctimusprime Před 7 lety +2

      You act as if this is victimless but it isn't. In the UK at least you lose 20-45% of your income to taxes! What that is is theft. And where does the money go? Well ultimately to people who choose to work part time or not at all. People on benefits even complain that there is no incentive to work. It's about time people stopped leeching off the middle class, because they're the ones who get hit the hardest by taxes. You know the people who spent years getting a degree and then work 50 hour weeks..

      Artorius, you know all the countries stated by Dragos are the ones with less poverty and income inequality? also best education and health systems? It's nothing like you think, people dont stay poor over their, and even if they are considered poor their poornes is a way better state, dencensy than a capitalist society. Specially if you compare with Chile a country with the greatest income inequality in the world.

    • @SuperOctimusprime
      @SuperOctimusprime Před 7 lety +1

      Charity is for the sick, elderly and disabled. It is not for able bodied young people who just don't want to find work. Also charity is meant to be voluntary! So why does wealth need to be distributed? If you're in a room with 5 friends and you're the wealthiest in the room would you take out your wallet and distribute your money? What if the others voted to take your money by force? It's democracy but its still theft.
      You should get out of society what you put in. If you flip burgers for a living you don't deserve a high wage. You certainly don't deserve as much as the person who owns the restaurant. They've put in the effort of building up that business and without them many jobs wouldn't even exist. They deserve the fruits of their labour. It is morally wrong to use the state to force such people to pay a certain wage and give over half their income to tax.

    • @camilamartinezv2277
      @camilamartinezv2277 Před 7 lety +7

      john pardon It's more complicated than that. Public education and private education are completely different. Public education is a mess, because it is not control by state, instead of "districts" (municipalidades), that means the district controls where the money goes. The problem is if your district is poor, you won't have a good education. There is a mix between bad administration and unequal opportunities just because your district doesn't have enough money.
      That means that if you can't pay for a private school, you will have a poor education. There are lots of points related of course: teachers are payed bad, and also is see as a "bad career" in the eyes of chilean society.
      People of private schools and good public schools (called "Colegios de Excelencia") go to university. And girls and boys from poor public schools who go to university, generally fail, no because they don't study, but because their education has lost of holes.
      Any issue you can ask me if it doesn't get right c:
      Again, here in chile we don't have public education because it is controlled by districts, no the state.

    • @mariel1766
      @mariel1766 Před 7 lety +3

      john pardon the students don't get money unless they work, which most do to afford the college. What makes the difference is who gets to go to uni based in their highschool education and that's where the low and high income differences come into play. So the segregation gets worse with time because of that. Besides people with money usually prefer higher paying universities where most of the students have the same family income as them creating more bubbles and segregation amongst students by staying all around people of their same class.

    • @mariel1766
      @mariel1766 Před 7 lety +8

      AREss I can tell you that that doesn't happen till the very end of the protest. All protest are official by the government and have a path set, only at the end of that path is when that happens because by then only the rioters are left instead of the actual protesters. You'll always find violent people in every protest but those are separate people that do not represent the movement.

      Children of poor families can't afford private education, which makes them go to public schools which are of a really bad quality. They get bad scores, can barely afford university and many drop out. Now these poor kids probably won't be able to get a good career and job, eventually having kids who can't afford private education. And the cycle goes on.
