- Christina Linardatou, the Greek Boxer from Athens, Greece strikes again. This time she'll claim the WBC International Super Featherweight Title against the undefeated (until then) Alycia Baumgardner under the promotion of the boxing legend Evander Holyfield!
Head coach of Perseas Boxing Club, Manolis Lavdakis will be once again her trainer for the fight and ringside during the bout.

Damn, Christina is a freaking wreaking ball. She just kept going at Baumgardner.
This was a total brawl and rather fascinating. The power in that ring was absolutely mind blowing and it was like a clash of the titans. Two incredibly tough, rugged, strong and immensely fit boxers!
Would be nice to see Alycia vs Tyson Fury without KO just till some1 dies

This fight was about 5 years ago and considering that this fight was only Alycia’s 7th pro bout, I believe this fight made her! That’s why she is now unified in the super featherweight division, although I don’t want to take anything away from Christina! She’s a great fighter with a great resume and her upcoming bout with Mayer in London, should be fireworks

Christina is incredibly tough, and she can box too. She went the distance with Delfine Persoon by using her legs to stay out of punching range as best she could. If she applies this strategy against Katie Taylor, she will have a far far easier time, as Delfine is far better at walking opponents down and applying pressure than Katie.
This was a rare tactic from Christina though and borne out of necessity, as she usually used her very brisk and energetic movement to apply pressure, and against Katie she will surely do this if she feels her strength matches up. Katie is quite brilliant and a real power puncher, but although Christina found Delfine far too strong and rugged to stand and brawl with, Katie does not possess Delfine's level of strength or toughness, so she may well mix up her offense and defence far more in this fight. Could be a close affair, that I see Katie shading.
Coming in late As I just found out about Alycia a couple months ago. This fight shows her biggest weakness: no head movement! Don't try to go the George Foreman route!
That said, she is obviously got a bright future in front of her!!

Wonder if this will prove a preview of the Mayer fight. Seems Baum doesn't handle up-close pressure well and also can't generate her signature power going backwards or at close range. Seems to bode well for Mayer.
And as far as we know she still fights this way because after this fight she started back fighting trash competition until she fought Harper who came off a year long lay off from an injury, drained and was mentally defeated already and Ko'd her but then after she started back fighting trash. Erica Farias and Maiva would walk this girl down just as Linardartou did and Mikaela Mayer walked them both down for a UD... Mayer beating her come October 15th.
@@philipcarey3213 Great observations! Unfortunate in the Oct 15 part. One new question now: Who does the fight delay disadvantage more? Could be Mayer given it appears the weight cut is harder for her.
@@asegal4677 I think Mayer looks fine, the only one who put the idea of Mayer being weight drained was Alycia to my knowledge. Mayer was smiling, laughing and acting the same throughout the interviews and press conferences. They both should be good.

I got 7/1 on C Linardatou, not caught up in all the hype surrounding A Baumgardner she won against M Mayer, but Mikaela Mayer quite clearly got robbed - not sure C Linardatou can win, but just think A Baumgarder got very lucky to get the verdict against M Mayer and she's overhyped, and Christina Linardatou is a solid apponent, not a 7/1 shot.
Linardatou doesnt throw her hands enough, she should sit down on her punches more and throw more straight shots down the middle and throw her jab more and come in behind it, stop head hunting and shoot to the body, use more uppercuts. Stop standing in front of her opponent.
