"Hi everybody, of course I want to congratulate both of us, my teammates, my coaches, everyone, football team, congratulations to all of us. I can't believe we're here, honestly. Every year I picture this is my head, every year that I want to win the championship. All those five years of course, and nothing compares to this moment right here, and I'm so grateful to be here to have ended it with a championship. It's a dream come true for me. This truly was because of Him, everything was written down to lead to this day, as Kim said we always talked about it, we're gym partners. But yeah, we'd always talked about how if it's for us talaga. You know she got her ACL (injury) last year, so she could graduate as champion this year. Thank you, I really do want to thank Him because my life has never been so good since He came. I wanna thank of course, the UAO, Sir M, Boss Bear. Boss Bear especially every game *di ko maintindihan yung sinasabi ni Bei 😅* To Dominique our Feng Shui thank you so much. Thank you, thank you so much for believing in us talaga. Sir Jonathan thank you for giving us always your most supportive smile and the other speaking thing, win or lose. Of course, Sir Arthur this one's for you we make it 80 years, but here it is. To the community, to the fans like what I said kanina you guys sneak with dream come true. Everytime I pitched in my head, it wouldn't be the same without the crowd cheering "Go, ONE BIG FIGHT". And everytime I come out of the dugout, and start to hear the drums and starting to hear you guys cheer. It's like a movie to the end I will always always share til the end. Of course Coach O, thank you for calling me thank you for taking me back. But I think most of all, thank you for giving us hope, this year I think that's what we did, the hope that we could do it, the hope that we could be back here. And you always tell us, be warriors of hope and faith. But I wanted to let you know that you were a warrior, and you really brought us here so thank you, thank you coach. To other coaches, Coach Vince, Coach Jab, Coach Bogs, ate Mowns, thank you guys cause you guys made training a lot bearable. But thank you guys for always making us laugh for being so patient with all of us. Ate Mowns, kami parati ang magkasama, sobrang thank you for being a real friend, for being a coach at the same time. And of course, Ate Bets, sabi ko sa'yo may special mention ka sa akin, wag kang umiyak. I don't think a lot of people knew about her story of how tyinaga mo ako everyday to get me to play at this level again. Through this injury, I didn't know what to do, but because of you; you brought me here. Everyday kitang kasama and I would've had anyone else by my side who keeps pushing me kahit na nawawalan na akong pag- asa, you always tell me 'kaya natin yan, at dadalhin kita sa dulo' and I can't thank you enough kasi nandito ako, nadala mo ako didto and you fulfilled your promise to me. Sobrang thank you ate Bets no amount of food or money could ever replaced what you've sacrificed for me this year. Of course, to my friends, I love you guys so much and thank you for keeping me sane, thank you cause you guys were there for me deapite really knowing that I couldn't always be there for you. I'm that type of friend na you probably called at 2am but wouldn't answer cause I'd be sleeping for training. And kahit umiiyak kapa diyan, kaya mo na yan may training pa ako nang six, so thank you guys thank you so much for enduring my stubborness and my hard head. Thank you, I love you. My family, Mom, Dad, Kuya, Tito Odie, Kuya Joseph who never ever miss my game. Thank you guys for nurturing me, for making me who I am today, this one's really for you. All those years na hinintay nyo ako for dinner, we can finally eat on time again, at seven. But thank you for adjusting to all of my needs. Thank you (3x) for being a part of it. Of course, to my teammates, to all of you student- managers, everyone. I was only be able to be a leader because you allowed me to, because you listened, I love you guys so much and I pray that you guys believe in yourselves as I've always (2x) believe in you. I will continue to support you from wherever I am, I will continue to protect all of you. I've seen you guys do it all. Sa lahat ng takbo natin ng one man, ng pagod. But I've also seen you guys rise up to the occassion that I wouldn't be any prouder of you guys. No one can take this away, know that I'm always be here ready to go to war with anyone who tries to bring you guys down. Cause I know you guys, and I know your worth. In one of the recollections that Ateneo gave, in the back of those reflection pamphlets, there was a qoute that I found it was by Fr. (I couldn't clearly hear the name, sorry) And it says "Fall in love, stay in love and it will decide everything." So thank you guys for allowing me to find love with the all of these. I fell in love with all of it, I fell in love with the game, the school, what we stood for, my teammates eventually, and it was what made me decide to get up early morning even if I wanted to make the dumbest excuse not to go. It was what made me decide to stay one more year, it was what made me decide to keep going. To choose to love kahit sa feeling ko nagawa ko na, lahat nasabi ko na, lahat naturo ko na. Love kept me going because love never gives up. Because in that court, I am 100% me. The love for the game kept me going. I thought that I never had to be anyone else, but myself. On that stage I didn't have to wear a mask, never have to hide my emotions. I've never felt so alive there, I've never felt so real. It's very thin and its visible, at the same time vulnerable. And where I felt I'm so on top of the world but at the same time so lost. But, it comes with it and that's really the beauty of all of it. Thank you because within that love, I found the home and I want you all to know why home to me is so important. Kasi pag uwi mo diba, dun ka nagpapahinga dun ka naghahanap ng comfort dun ka nag mumuni- muni, dun ka nangagarap, sa bahay. Pag nakahiga ka sa kama all you do is day- dreaming. But most of all, home is where I so willingly put my best foot forward to be the best I can be for the people I love. Home is where I am reminded of what not to be and and who I really need to be. So, I thank Ateneo and everyone who has been a part of my journey for the last five years. Thank you so much, it was a privilge to fight for the blue and white and wherever I may go next, in whatever I do, today I get to come home will always be the day I will look forward to. Today, I get to come home with all of you and I can't wait, I can't wait to see you guys fly higher than today.
