Nice use of space! Always enjoy seeing what others do with their vans!
How much was the van and did you buy it new or used? This looks great. I’m working as a handyman out of my diesel 2015 vw golf wagon and a 5x8 trailer, which has worked good so far but I hate unloading ALL tools out of it for a job
I want a van…. I’m at a job for the next year, thankfully, and basically have setup shop at this house, once it’s done, Van will be much nicer
New. I think 54k. Not cheap. I didn't want to spend that much but I had no choice.
Ok mate, I just bought a 2019 144v6 diesel, I’ve had it since Tuesday. Set me back $30k!!! 😮 but now it’s time to either build shelves or purchase metal shelves used, at least for now so I can see how I may want to build like you did.
Without a backing on your shelves your van walls are going to get dented from the inside out.
You're not wrong about this. I have to be a little careful with the sides, there's one place I got a little ding, but it's a work van, so I can't really expect the van to stay perfect forever. Adding some 1/4" panels makes a lot of sense if yon are worried about the dings
You don’t once show exactly how you fastened the cabinets to the floors and walls? Just a quick clip saying you put some L-brackets, without actually showing anything?
Just small L brackets on the floor. It does not really have a place to go. I have found over the years that the van flexes quite a bit and the top L brackets loosen up. I currently do not have a fix for this! Once I have some time after I build my house I’ll mess around with a solution.
Are you wearing nail polish?
Quite possibly... I have 2 daughters 🤣. Sometimes they get me with those cute innocent eyes and ask if they can paint my nails, hard to say no.
@@TodayIWorkOn Quite possibly? I would call that a yes....haha. Nice build-out. Greetings from Texas.
Thank you so much for this video. Super helpful and well-presented. Your time and effort is most appreciated!
