This song is, in my opinion, the most underrated song of the album. The inspiration drawn from the Spanish Inquisition and the Salem Witch Trials is pretty self-evident, but it would also fit right in as the theme song of a Witch Hunter from Warhammer, like Saltzpyre from Vermintide. That combined with Zora's performance where she really wraps herself in the role of the inquisitor, taking a sadistic glee in extracting confessions from her victims, it's absolutely delectable and really sells the whole thing.
The best part for me, though, tying back into the Warhammer comparison, is that if you analyze the lyrics you can make out how at least three of the Chaos Gods (or more accurately their cultists) are represented in the lyrics. Tzeench (what are you scheming,) Nurgle (you have been causing illness and death,) and Slaanesh (you filthy nymphomaniac.) We're only missing Khorne for a full house, but Khorne's cultists tend not to be hiding in polite society the way the other three are so it's oddly fitting for Khorne to not be included in the scenario.

After listening to the album many times I beleive this mis my favorite. I love the great accuracy of the hunt and torture on witches!

But I also know that the dream of a band is usually to touch as many people as possible, and to get recognition world wide.

Your English is fine don't worry about that! It is amazing how much attention Zora is able to give her fans. Lately she has been on her discord every day it seems. Are you on her Patreon? I know the feeling, wanting things to stay the way they are so she can continue to give us all this attention.I remember being shocked that she knew my real name. (She once used my first name in a conversation, shortly after I placed an order.) Like you I also know that the best thing for them though is for the community to grow. I don't think she will ever forget us, but I do think at some point she's just going to be really busy. Which is a good thing because we do want Blackbriar to keep making music.

No, I am not on her Patreon, I just noticed it from the beginning of their career, they used to answer a lot, in a genuine and sweet way, on the comments section of CZcams. Same thing on Zora and the band Instagrams, and I got a long, detailed and sweet mail from a member of the band after I asked a question about my order on their website.

Yeah of course, it was just a selfish wish, but in reality I hope they will grow and get more staff. Since they're an independent band, they have to manage with the orders on their own and it's a huge and certainly exhausting task.
The atmosphere of their songs reminds me of the debuts of Emilie Autumn, I dont know if you know her ? Even if it's not the same type of music at all, they pay the same strong attention to their lyrics, the music gives the same feerie and mysterious feeling, and in some songs they also like to use myths, ancient legends (even if they are complete products of their imagination, I don't know). I may add the presence of this mysticism too to the comparison with Emilie. By the way this artist never got the recognition she would have deserved through her career, but Blackbriar has more chance to touch more people because the style of their music is more defined and more popular than Emilie's one. Other people compare them to Within Temptation, but I dont really feel the same vibe on a deeper level.

I know that this was probably about all of the torturing done during the witch trials, and maybe even a little before that. But I couldn’t help but think of that, and the furies of Hades simultaneously. Actually, I thought of the second thing first until I listened to this a couple of times, and understood all of the lyrics. I still get reminded of both of those things every time though. Very brilliantly done using one of our worst periods in history to make outstanding music!
