hey i remember this. this vhs got me really interested in two things... electronic music and computer design. takes me back
Love this - great compilation of Amiga Lightwave / SGI animations. First time I ever saw this was at a friends house - may have been after some degree of herbal enhancement. @22:38 Release To The System is one of my personal favourites, along with Basscadet after #HappyDays

I remember seeing this on a few occasions at a buddy's place in Manhattan (92-93) after getting home from the club/rave/afterhours (under the influence)..This brings back some incredible memories.
amazing
you're gay too?
yeah totally trtipping out need to reply ,then listen again ..and i do miss my 303 ,ill be around ..
btw lots of bascett stuff in here
Yes all over the world early 90'S chill out after parties!!! mmmhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
This takes me back, lots of great music from the early years of computer animation to music, just superb and magical because it was pioneering stuff that took days to produce! Wonderful. Programmers getting the best they possibly could with the limited technology they had.
Oh wow can’t tell you how happy I am for this share - I owned the tape until a basement flood a few years ago :/ Why I never thought to look for it on YT I don’t know; this is simply algorithmic luck now actually. I still have Warp:Visions on dvd but that’s much easier to find. I believe it’s out of print by now but still an easy acquisition. When the N.O.W. video for “Aftermath” came out I had a blast seeing Nightmares live (NYC), the video was projected on a wall. They also played a handful of other tracks off of A Word of Science. What an era!! -Regards
Timeless groove Timeless 3D animation. Sikk
As a kid I would stay up to watch the MTV Europe chillout zone to see videos like these. I remember the 'Basscadet' video for sure. And the video to FSOL's 'Cascade' would be on constantly, also. All these squelchy, pulsating, seemingly sentient objects blew my mind.
-So with you on that one!!!
MTV's 'Chillout Zone' would run re-runs of that, and taught me of epic music videos by Aphex Twin, FSOL, Roni Size, Jonny L, Boymerang...
I used to videotape that show and watch those tapes for hours on end.. They also used to take requests by Email, and i'd get on their case constantly :)
Which other awesome music did u guys watch for the first time on MTV's 'Chillout Zone'?
Reminds of when I was a teenager in the 90's working in a record store. I seem to remember getting this video as a promo. I loved how psychedelic electronic music was then. Thanks for posting!!
i was also working in a record/video shop during this time. and hate to think how i may have turned out if i didn’t get my head Warped severely back then.
Mate, SAME!! 👍
I run a record store and this is playing right now baby ;) ;)
Thanks for uploading this and making sure that it wasn't lost forever in a landfill with millions of other VHS tapes
16:29 the hair in my neck raise when I hear the start of this amazing song Symmetry by Speedy J.
Luv this set close to X MIx series Video V-Form missing 90's techno style so much compare to modern shit . Thanks for sharing this treasure
Dalì is raving in paradise to this

Definitely one of the greatest ambient albums of all time
Cool sleepless nights on MTV CHILL OUT ZONE in the mid 90s!
Man, where is my youth gone?
I forgot about the real world and went into this stunning reality
whoever posted this has blessed me
Still got the Japanese edition of this with the double CD - classic stuff
Thank you.
Thanks a lot Man! I still have this VHS tape, but not a VHS player anymore. Thank you for sharing the conversion.
*wow* ! I have Artificial Intelligence I & II on vinyl and all the artists' albums from this series but never knew there was a VHS video-mix .. Excellent upload, thanks :D
It was released about the same time as when the vinyl/CDs came out. It was a dual VHS experience.
The golden era for music......
I still have this video on VHS, but haven't played/seen it for some time. It still sounds great & looks great today. Thanks for putting this up.
We used to watch this all the time on the way down from our journey's, good times! Thanks for uploading
I lent my vhs copy out...never saw it again..thanks for upping this
alan devine Mine disappeared in a move 15 years ago - it's great to see it again!

Great.Thank you.Amazing Era.
the days when CGI was uber cool
It would be great if someone could upload a quality rip. Or Warp re-release on digital. I had this back in the day and the pic quality is really muddy in comparison, you can barely make out what's happening. The VHS was pretty crisp. Magical release, one of Warp's best.
This shit is golden.
The good old days, MTV CHILL OUT ZONE!!!!
Thanks for uploading!
Autechre - Basscadet will always be a classic. Funny that ive never heard this version of Basscadet
It's on the Basscad ep
Thx for this. I've also the "artificial intelicence" cd in my box. With the green cover.
This is Volume 1, this has a red cover ;)
The green one is Vol2
@@benjaminfauchald2990 wrong, the green cover with the android smoking is volume I, the red cover with the pitcher plants is volume II
I think I saw this as a senior in high school's art class. :D

This is legend! We had some clips from this video back in the days when everything just began in St. Petersburg, Russia
landscapes probably rendered in vistapro. it was an incredible program
Yes. Amigas were used for a lot of the visuals.

I weaned myself off drugs by watching this every day. ʘ‿ʘ
This is some amazing shit. Gotta love Warp.

I used to trip pretty hard to this video. Shame this has tracking issues for the first 15 minutes.
Whaaaaaaa so inspiring!!

I had that on video.. thank you for the share!
take me bac to da best years of my life................
had dis on vhs from mtv bac n 93.....goood fuckin times...
very nice
Miss me with that EDM shit
Was this a 4:3 or 16:9 capture? Was the original letterboxed? The render looks to be 16:9. If it was not letterboxed the top edge could be getting cut off. Would love to see a property 4:3 capture and render.
No idea I'm afraid. I no longer have the VHS tape, and I had this rip done many years ago. I don't believe this version is significantly different to how it was on the VHS. Cheers.
omg it's like aesthetic but before Aesthetic
yeesssss

I think this is very dope
flashbacks at the insect in intro.. :/
treasure found +1
omfg
looks a bit like Fire from Prodigy
How do you make stuff like this? Is this just the height of technology at the time? Is there a certain software worth getting to recreate this? Or is it all to be done in the latest Adobe whatever software
As far as I can remember they used Vista on Amigas for the landscape bits, and the rest was done using Macs, though I don't recall right now what Mac software they used.
El dander bien chueco

10:10 ❤
Has this ever been remastered for DVD?
Nope. That's why I uploaded this version.
Matt Brock This is the actual video for basscadet eh? Interesting.
there is a hd remaster I've seen up, I'm sure it's avaliable for dl if you look now
+Trainwhrek Pretty sure you must have dreamt that, sadly.
There is a laserdisc edition of Motion that was released in Japan that might be cleaner, but unfortunately it's ridiculously rare and expensive.
